listen, i get it, you want people to read your story and follow you. for most people, posting things on their message board or pming them is not the answer.
personally, i will follow people/read their story if:
1. i like the books they write. 2. they support my books regularly. 3. they're really nice/we're friends. 4. etcetera, etcetera.
now, these are ways to make sure i will not follow you:
1. pming me. do not, and i repeat, do not, pm me under any circumstance unless you're going to request a graphic, you're there to spark up a conversation, or are there to discuss something serious.

anyways, the majority of my pms are conversations, reading requests, or requests to enter a competition. i ain't for any of that, sorry fam.
2. if you're one of those accounts that follow people, get them to follow you, and then unfollow them. you know the ones. they have over a thousand followers, are following eleven people, and they either have no books or a book that is a face reveal. oh, and they're those people that have conversations on each other's message boards, so everything is just them talking to random people. listen, no shame in the game, that's just not my bottle of brisk lemonade :/
3. if you're one of those accounts that have roughly seven hundred followers, are following five hundred people, have a super long bio that goes on about nothing but also a company they created, and have written roughly seven books, but none of them have over one thousand views. it's just really sus and i'm not here for it.
4. if you copy my graphics. dude, i could honestly care less about people plagiarizing my writing, but once you blatantly copy my covers, down to the font, fuck you, dude.
in conclusion, don't pm me if you're looking for me to read your harry styles fanfic. just don't :)
