6. this is one of the most chaotic and problemtic things i've seen in a while

oh my god
i'm so confused
and i don't get this confused often
( warning: there's no pictures throughout this chapter until the end, so it's pretty boring. i'm sorry )

so, i was going through the people that i was following on my main account, seeing who's accounts were inactive, checking up on my friends, etcetera. then, i come across this account that is a borderline friend of mine ( we both follow each other, i read her books, it's cool ).

i'm nosy and i was looking at who she was following to see if we had any mutual friends. one of the account she was following had a graphics shop. i think "oh cool" because i always enjoy looking at graphic shops or portfolios. so, i check it out. the author's graphics are pretty good, yada yada.

then, on her "rules" page or whatever, it basically says "add one of my stories ( either from this account or this account [ the account that i'm following that i mentioned two paragraphs before ] ). i don't think much of it, since i have a books on different accounts. it's cool.

as i continue looking through the shop, i notice that there's a lot of deliveries for this girl's main account. i'm fine with that, you're there to show off your graphics, cool, i do too. i just found it a bit odd that she was treating it like a normal delivery, y'know?

in a later delivery, i noticed that she had made some aesthetics for a popular person on here. i though "oh, that's pretty cool." i checked the comments to see what this popular writer said, and i noticed that there was another account commenting, basically saying "oh, these are pretty!"

so, me, being the bored and skeptical person i am, went to this other account. in the description, they had a bunch of other accounts ( twitter, instagram, etcetera ). the account that the graphics shop was on was one of those accounts.

if you're confused ( i was too ), let's simplify the last six paragraphs ( these are all fake names btw ):

i follow this girl named donna.
donna follows this girl named ophelia.
ophelia has a graphics shop.
turns out donna is ophelia.
ophelia is following this girl named angela.
angela comments on ophelia's graphic shop a lot.
turns out ophelia is angela.

( we should be friends if you know why i chose these names ;) )

so, here's my theory. when "ophelia" started her graphics shop, she wanted people to see it. people probably weren't seeing it, so she resorted to making a fake account ( "angela" ) to get at least some traction on the book.

then, after real people started seeing the book, ophelia realized that she didn't need this fake account anymore. so, she changed the identity of angela to ophelia. but, she just forgot to delete the comments that she had posted on the graphics shop.

basically, donna, ophelia, and angela are all the same person and they flubbed up after they realized that people actually like their graphics.

i just thought i'd share this with you because i thought it was kind of interesting and strange. and, just remember that you never need to make fake accounts to validate yourself and your book. real people will come along and find it :)
