Bella sat on her sofa half asleep. Wacko's words kept repeating in her head. "Amanda couldn't have summoned him. She's too nice. She doesn't even know anything about paranormal activity or rituals." She thinks to herself. Amanda came down the stairs with a slight smile. You wanna head out? It's close to sunset. I saw this bridge on my way here which looked like it had a nice view." Amanda says. "Sure. Is it far?" Bella asks. "Nah. Just a mile away at most." Amanda replies. Bella nods before standing. She throws on a hoodie from her waist. Amanda gives her a lot of sun cream and her baseball cap. To protect her face. They leave the house. Bella looks around with paranoia. She hadn't left her house at all for years. Her confidence was low. "What's up, Bella?" Amanda asks. "Nothing. Just a little scared." Bella replies. "Don't be afraid. Breathe it all in. You've bound to have missed the fresh air. Come on. I'll protect you." Amanda says she throws an arm around her shoulders. They walk down the porch and into the sun. Bella gasps. She got the shock you would get when cold water is pour over you. She begins to laugh nervously. "I'm outside." Bella says quietly. "Yeah. It's amazing, ain't it? Not isolating yourself in an old house." Amanda says. "Yeah. It feels great." Bella smiles. They begin to walk to the bridge that Amanda mentioned.

When they arrive, the sun was beginning to set. The bridge went over a river with trees hanging over it. They were cherry blossoms and apple trees which really set the summer time mood. The bridge was made of wood and stone and it arched over the river below. Bella looked over the banister and smiles brightly. She could see a few fish swim with the current. Amanda stares at her as the sun brightens her face. She moves closer to Bella who's distracted by the scenery. "It's... It's beautiful." Bella says. Amanda leans against the banister. And smiles. "It's not as beautiful as you. Your name actually means beautiful in some random language. Don't know what language though." Amanda says. "You... You really think I'm beautiful?" Bella asks. Amanda nods. "I'm a girl lover. So it's kinda expected." Amanda says. "I guess. No one has ever said I was beautiful so it's a new one for me." Bella says with a slight blush. "You've been keeping yourself from people so of course no one will say it to you." Amanda says. Bella looks at her. They gaze at eachother. "I thought you were dead for the past so many years. I thought he or someone else got to you." Amanda says as she looks down. "At least I'm still alive... Right?" Bella replies. "Yeah." Amanda says. There was a moment of silence. Birds chirped and the calm river flows beneath them. Bella reminded herself of the question she asked Amanda but didn't get an answer from. "Can you answer my question now?" Bella asks. "What was that?" Amanda asked. "Do... Do you have a thing for me? Like, a crush... If that's what people still call it these days." Bella says. Amanda goes red and sighs. "I think it's time I just tell you the truth. I became a lesbian when I met you. I fell in love with you immediately and couldn't fall for anyone else the way I did with you. I loved your caring personality. Your playful and positive attitude. Your adorable laughs and looks. Everything about you I loved. Even to this day I can see it all in you. I still love you the same. But I always thought you would hate on me or tell others. Even reject me. So I left it." Amanda says with embarrassment. Bella looks away for a moment then back at her. "Maybe... If this is all over... We can give it a shot. I've never dated a guy or girl. So I wouldn't know what I prefer." Bella says. Amanda looks at her with a smile. "You'll really date me?" She asks. "Yeah. But it won't be a serious relationship.... Because I don't love you the same way you love me." Bella says. Amanda's smile fades. "Oh... That's okay, I guess." Amanda says with sorrow. Bella felt bad for her.

"Can I ask you something?" Amanda asks. "What is it?" Bella asks. "What else happened to you that night? Other than that jerk taking you away."  Amanda asks. Bella went silent for a moment. "A lot happened. That thing I keep seeing was there. It was going to kill me with it's knife. It said it wanted my skull and to feast on my soul. You came in and it disappeared. Then wacko came and.... Took me away. What he did to me was something no one should experience... I'm glad he took me and not you." Bella says. "I'm thankful I can't have children. Honestly. I would've had to put so many up for adoption if it weren't for my broken body. And if it weren't for you I would be dead." Bella says quietly. "I know. I saw him raise his hammer. I tackled him and dragged you out of there... I'm sorry for lighting the place up. I needed to so he would struggle getting us... Are you mentally okay though? You aren't suicidal or anything, are you?" Amanda asks. Bella shakes her head. "No, but with what's been happening, I might as well be." Bella says. "Please don't say that. It hurts me when you're upset. You know that, right?" Amanda asks. "I do now. Sorry. Are my parents still Alive?" Bella asks. "Yes. They looked for you since the day you went missing. I don't know if they're still looking for you but they're alive. Maybe we can visit them when I'm heading back home. I'm sure they'll let you stay the night after being gone for so many years." Amanda says. "They won't let me. They'll hate me. I ditched them because I was a coward. I ditched you. Can you not just stay here?" Bella asks. "No. I've got work in the morning. Wood work. I make what ever people want me to make. Furniture, toys, shelves, doors, bowls. You name it. I make it." Amanda says. "Do you get payed to say that?" Bella jokes. "No. I'd have millions if I did. I'm taking you to your parents if you like it or not. Maybe it's just the house that's making you see things and all. I promise you they won't hate you. They're dying to have you back." Amanda says. Bella sighs. "Fine... I'll go home. I won't be going outside though." Bella says. "It's probably for the best. Let's head the now." Amanda says with a smile. Bella walks with Amanda back to the house. As they walk back, Bella admires her again. When they reach the house, Bella packs a few things. She stops at the door and turns around. Wacko stood at the back door with a grin on his face. Saliva dripped from his mouth onto the floor. He was hungry. Bella slammed the door and locked it. "Everything good?" Amanda asks. "Yeah. Lets go." Bella says before getting into the truck. She buckles up and takes a deep breath. She hadn't sat in a vehicle in years. It was comfortable. Amanda gets in and starts the engine. She sees the worry on her face. "Bella. Everything will be okay. I promise." Amanda says. Bella nods. They drive off as the sun sets. Bella had fell asleep after twenty minutes. They hadn't even reached the nearest house yet.
