Lunch with boys

Padarag kong binuksan ang double doors ng cafeteria. Agad naman napatingin ang mga students na nasa loob niyon sa akin. Tiningnan ko sila ng masama kaya't agad naman silang nag iwas ng tingin. Maybe they've sense that I am not in my very best mood today because of Anastasia's little scene with me earlier at the hallway.

I've spotted Gavin and Raj's group at the center of the caf. Paano ba namang hindi? Sila ang may pinaka maingay na table. And because of the fact na madami sila. Probably, the whole soccer team and some of their bitches.

Most of them are still looking at my direction. I've also seen Raj's attention on me so as my twin brother. Hindi ko na sila tinapunan pa ng tingin at nagdiretso na ng lakad palampas sa kanila kung nasa'n ang table ng kapatid kong si Gio at kaibigan niyang si Ronin. They immediately stand up when they saw me.

"Ate, what took you so long?" Naiinis na anas ng kapatid ko. Aww. He's so cute kapag naiinis.

Nang tuluyang makalapit ay agad ko siyang hinalikan sa noo. Pati na rin si Ronin.

"I'm sorry, boys, I just had a little thing to dealt with earlier. Nothing important."

Pansin kong half ng population na nasa cafeteria ay tumahimik. I don't know why, and I don't give a damn.

"Ate Gee, are we still going out? I'm afraid we can't make it now since we only have 45 minutes left before the bell ring," kunot noong sabi ni Ronin. "Plus, it'll take time to find a restaurant near the school."

"That's not a problem, Ronin. So, shall we?" I said as I fished out my car keys, wallet, and phone from my pocket. Tumango naman sila at nag umpisa nang maglakad palabas ng cafeteria. We were about to passed Raj's table when he spoke.

"Where are you going?" tanong niya na sa'kin naka direkta ang tingin. Napahinto sina Gio and Ronin at saka bumaling sa table nila. Ronin seems tensed. Aww, poor boy. He's afraid of his big brother.

I was just wondering why Raj kept on sticking his nose into my business. If he thinks that he has a control over me, well, he's completely wrong. I might still have feelings for him but I won't let that over power my whole system.

Or at least I'm trying...

"K-Kuya... We--uh... Gonna have l-lunch outside," Ronin's stuttering.

Lumapit na ako at inakbayan ang dalawang batang 'to. I whispered Ronin that it's fine and he has nothing to worry about.

Nakakainis lang na sinabi niyang wala siyang pakialam sa'kin pero heto siya at tanong ng tanong. Hindi na lang ako pabayaan. Tsk.

"Out. Lunch. Bye." I briefly said then started to walk out of the place. Sinenyasan na ko na rin sina Gio and Ronin na lumakad na. Nakalabas na sila ng cafeteria and I'm almost there also but I heard his voice again.

"Don't turn your back at me. I'm still talking to you." May diin sa bawat salitang binibitawan niya. Agad akong nakaramdam ng inis. Ano bang problema niya?

I halted and turn to faced him. Forehead crease and an annoyed face.

"Just get straight to the point, Raj Sebastian Alfaro. Well, as you can see, we're running out of time here so if you'll excuse us, we have to go."

Mabilis kong saad at tinalikuran na sila. Do'n pa lamang pumasok si Dave sa cafeteria at takhang nakatingin sa direksyon namin. He was about to call me when we heard a loud thud behind me. Sa gulat ko ay napalingon ako sa pinanggalingan ng malakas na ingay. That's when I saw Raj's fist on the table. Napaawang ang mga bibig ko.

"We're still not yet done, Missy, so I suggest that you don't turn your back on me, again." He said with the hint of danger on his voice. Napalingon ako sa paligid, sobrang tahimik na para bang may dumaang anghel. Kahit ang ingay ng mga kubyertos ay hindi maririnig. I glanced at Gavin who's now seriously looking at Raj.

Ganito ba ang gusto niya? Ang ipinapahiya ako? Well, get ready, baby. I'm always ready for this kind of stuff.

Unti-unti akong ngumiti sa kanya. While he's still glaring at me. If looks could kill, I'm probably dead on the spot.

"Set an appointment with the council's secretary in order for you to talk to the President, then. Good day, Mr. Alfaro." I smiled sweetly before walking out of the caf. Not minding the stares I am receiving from the student body.

Akala niya ba gano'n-gano'n lang ako? Na susunod sa kanya dahil lang sa sinabi niya? Oh, boy, he's wrong. I am not like his bitches who would follow what he wants. But that thought saddened me at the same time. It only means that he cannot really like me back because he's mad at me, take note, for I-don't-know reasons.

Not that long after when I heard footsteps trailing me from behind. It was Dave who's grinning at me like an idiot. I just rolled my eyes at him.

"What do you want, Dave?"

"Can I come? Not yet having lunch, eh." Tumango na lang ako at dumiretso na sa parking lot ng school. We've spotted Ronin and Gio leaning against my white 2019 Aston Martin DB11. Not long enough that I realized that my car is only two-seater. Oh, damn.

As we approached, mukhang na-sense din ni Dave ang iniisip ko just by looking at my luxury car.

"Let's just ride on my car, it's over there." He pointed his finger to the car 3 slots away from mine. Wow, nice, this guy must be filthy rich. With his Mercedes Benz C 220 D Sedan. Luckily, it's a four-seater car.

"Boys, let's go." Tumango na lang ang dalawang bata at sumakay na sa kotse ni Dave. I was about to open the car door in the passenger side nang maunahan ako ni Dave.

"Gentleman ka pala?" Natatawang pansin ko. He smirked at me.

"Oh, I know you know that I am." He then winked at me. Napailing na lang ako saka sumakay. But before he closes the door, I've spotted Raj glaring at us from the hallway in the second floor. Tanaw na tanaw kasi mula doon ang parking space.

How can I say that he's glaring at us? Well, hindi na kailangan pang kumpirmahin. Gano'n naman siya lagi, eh. Hindi ko na lang siya pinansin at nanahimik na lang habang nagmamaniobra si Dave palabas ng school.

We decided to dine in a fine dining restaurant 3 blocks away from school. Kulang na rin kasi ang time para lumayo pa dahil 30 mins. na lang malapit na ang first subject sa hapon. We ordered food and took a photo of it first before eating. And of course, nag-groupie muna kami because according to Ronin, instagramable daw ang place and the food.

Nang nasa kalagitnaan ng pagkain ay naramdaman kong nag vibrate ang phone ko sa ibabaw ng table. I checked it immediately and to my surprise, Ronin already uploaded the photos on his Instagram account and he also tagged us. Napailing na lang ako.

55 likes, 20 comments in just 5 minutes ha. I hit like and left a comment in there. Nakita ko ring nag-comment si Gio and Dave and even Gavin.

The lunch went well, our table was filled chuckles and joyfulness. Bumalik din naman kami after, and as usual. Back to normal na naman. Tapos na ang break and it'll definitely be tiring again. I just hope that none of them will cross paths with me, and luckily, the odds were at my side that time. Nakapag aral at nakapag trabaho ng maayos sa SC office.
