"Remember...Colson" Black said to me, and everything went black when I heard that name
"Colson? Colson..where are you?"
I tip-toed through the garden of my bestfriends backyard, I looked up at the low hanging branch, I slowly stepped on it, when I felt it was sturdy I kept climbing it. When I reached the top, I scanned the garden looking for my best friend.
"I'm gonna find you" I giggled. As I keep looking I see a piece of bleach blond hair sticking up from behind a bush. I climbed down from the tree and ran over to him, I tackled him to the ground and yelled "I found you" and giggled. "No fair, you climbed the tree" he pouted "no I didn't" I stuck my tongue out at him and ran back to "base" which was really just the bench in the middle of the garden.
"Y/n, Colson, come inside for lunch" his mom yelled out to us, "I'll race you y/n" he said running before I could even agree. "No fair, you didn't give me a chance" this time I was pouting, "it's because he knew he wouldn't be able to beat a girl y/n" Colson's mom smiled and patted my shoulder, as she put our dinosaur chicken nuggets in front of us.
I laugh as Colson made his nuggets fight each other.
11 years later.
"I can't believe you still make your nuggets fight each other" I laugh, shaking my head "in fact I can't believe you still eat those" I laugh harder. "Ahh y/n, always the jealous type I see" he laughed and teased me. "Anyways what are we gonna do about our book report? We haven't even started it yet, and it's due in like 2 days" I watch as he continued to eat his dinosaur chicken nuggets, "uhhh you're right, let's just write down the summary on the back of the book, boom an A+" he said, making a "boom" motion with his hands.
"Yea okay, in other words, I'll just do all the work like I do on all our projects" I laugh.
If I would've known I'd lose my best friend the next day, the book report would have been the last thing on my mind.
