Amnesia

Chapter 3

August 21st 2014. 7:21 am.

 

Riley brought Maya to their first class. History with Mr.Matthews also known as Riley's dad. Riley walk in the classroom with Maya following. A man with curly brown hair and dark brown eyes sits at the teachers desk.

"Hi dad.'' Riley smiles when she walks in.

''Hey Riley. Who is this?" Mr.Matthews, or Cory, asks.

 "Dad this the girl I am showing around. Her name is Maya. Maya this my dad, Mr.Matthews.''

"Your dad is our teacher?" Maya asked with shock in her voice.

Riley nodded and Cory smiles.

Maya smiles. ''At least I know a teacher that won't hate me.''

''Will see about that.'' Cory smiles.

Riley sits down in her usual spot. Fourth row, first desk. The desk next to Riley's was always empty because no one liked sitting in the front. Everyone sat in the back because you pretty much can get away with anything and  not get caught doing it. But Riley loves school and is always eager to learn. Behind Riley is where Farkle Minkus sits.

Farkle Minkus is one of Riley's best friends. Farkle and Riley bond more since they have more in common. They both love school and enjoy to learn. They are both quirky and always have a smile planted on their faces. They almost seem like soulmates. Farkle has a crush on Riley yet Riley has no idea. Riley has known Farkle since kindergarten and have been best friends ever since. Nothing could seperate the two.

The desk next to Farkle's is where Lucas Friar sits.

Lucas was born and raised in the state of Texas. He moved to New York for his dads job. He has been in New York for a while and at first he hated it. But when he met Riley and Farkle he felt safe. Lucas is Riley's other friend. When Riley first met Lucas she had a tiny crush on him. They went on one date and decided to just be friends. Lucas knows about farkle having a crush on Riley and he swears to keep it a secret. While Lucas trying to set Riley and Farkle up, he is also looking for a girl.

Little did he know that his soulmate is closer then he thinks.

Maya looked around the room and Riley watched her.

Maya faced Riley and Riley giggled.

"Should I sit in the back?" Maya asked.

Riley then remembered how no one sits in the desk next to hers.

"You can sit here.'' Riley points to the desk to hers.

Maya smiles and sits down.

The class started to come in and Maya watched everyone. Everyone that walked in saw Maya and gave her weird looks.

I hate being the new kid. Maya thought as everyone kept coming in.

A kid with a weird hair cut and ocean blue eyes walked in. Riley smiled when she saw him.

Maya wondered who this weirdo is.

Riley smiled and the boy walked to his desk. The one behind Riley.

"Farkle.'' Riley smiles.

''Hey Riley.'' Farkle blushes.

"Maya, this is my best friend Farkle. Farkle, this is the new girl Maya.''

Farkle's heart shattered when Riley said best friend.

"Welcome to John Quincy Adams middle school Maya.'' Farkle smiled.

Maya smiled at Farkle and turned around to face the board and cory.

The bell rang and Maya turned around. She noticed the emoty desk behind her.

Who sits here?  Maya thought.

Maya turned back around and Cory was about to start teaching until the door opened.

"Sorry sir my subway ran late. Did I miss anything?"

Maya smiled at the sound of the mystery persons voice.

Maya looked up and a saw boy.

Pale green eyes. Dirty blonde hair that you could die from and you could see his abs through his shirt.

Hot, charming and a sweet voice. Maya thought.

Lucas looked around and saw Maya. His eyes stayed focus on her and nothing else. Maya looked up and saw Lucas staring at her. She smiled and they locked eyes with each other.

Wow this girl is stunning. Who is she? Lucas thought while looking into Maya's blue eyes.

"It's ok Mr.Friar. You can sit now.'' Cory said causing Lucas to look away from Maya.

Lucas goes to the desk behind Maya. Also known as his usual seat.

Lucas walked up to Riley aftrer class ended.

Maya walked towards her locker which is couple of lockers away from Riley's.

"Hey Riley, who is that girl.'' Lucas asked pointing towards Maya.

Riley grinned. "Why? Do you like her.''

''Well, I don't know her yet. That's why I'm asking who she is.''

''Why don't you go find out for yourself.''

Riley pushed Lucas towards Maya. Lucas ran into Maya causing Maya too look.

Maya smiled when she saw Lucas. "Hi."

Lucas laughed nervously and smiled. ''Hi."

'We didn't meet yet.''

''Well, hi.''

Maya laughed. ''I'm Maya.''

''Lucas.''
