Amnesia

Chapter 5

 August 21st 11:45am

Riley and Maya walked to fourth period until Riley stopped Maya.

"Riley, we have to get to class" Maya says.

A smile creeps on Riley's face. Riley heard Lucas ask out Maya. She pretty much fangirled in her head.

"Lucaya!" Riley smiles.

"What?" Maya asked confused.

"You and Lucas! Together you guys are Lucaya.''

Maya laughs at the face Riley is making. Riley then makes a heart with her hands. Maya's facial expression quickly changes. Maya has never been in a relationship or on a date with a boy. She has nothing to wear. Maya doesn't even know what matches. She usually just puts random clothes on.

"He just asked me out." Maya says a little worried.

"Exactly! He likes you?" Riley exclaims making Maya smile.

"Does he really?" Maya asked.

"Yes! It's so obvious. Why? Are you nervous?"

Maya has never been liked by a guy and never planned on it. She always thought that she would end up alone.

Maybe he does actaully like me. Maya thought and smiled.

Maya then bites her lip and looks at Riley. "I have never been on a date before."

"Really? You're so pretty why wouldn't anyone want to date you?"

"Where I come from, I am trash compared to other girls."

Then the bell rings.

"We can meet after school and I will help you get ready." Riley says.

Maya nods and the two walk off to class. They walk in and Maya quickly stopped. She noticed Missy.

Missy smirked and Riley noticed them. Riley knows that Missy has a massive crush on Lucas. Riley doesn't want Missy to ruin everything. Riley believes that Maya and Lucas are soulmates and Riley is right.

"Excuse me ladies, you're late.'' Mrs. Taylor, there fourth hour teacher speaks.

Riley and Maya flash a smile to Mrs. Taylor and look around the room. There are only two desks left but on different sides of the room. Riley noticed that one of the desks is right next to Missy. Maya sighs and walks towards the desk next to Missy. Riley pulls Maya back.

"I am going to sit there Maya. Not you.'' Riley says.

Maya knew why Riley was acting this way. Missy wants to steal Lucas away Maya but Lucas likes Maya, not Missy.

Maya smiles at Riley. "I will be ok Riley.''

Then Maya gets out of Riley's grip and walks towards the desk next to Missy.

Natasha and Missy smirk as Maya sits by them. Riley would look over at the three once in a while. Riley really didn't want Missy to hurt Maya. After all, Riley is Maya's best friend. Best friends help each other.

The day was finally over and Maya was at her locker. Maya grabbed her homework for Science and she felt something around her waist. Scared, maya looked down and saw strong arms wrapped around her waist. She smiled to herself and turned around.

Lucas smiled when he saw Maya. Lucas tightened his grip on Maya's waist while staring at her.

What do I say?

Maya, you look amazing today.

No she always looks amazing. She might get offended.

Hey Maya! Can't wait for our date.

No to simple. Lucas thought.

"Hi." Lucas smiles.

Just a simple hi? Good move Friar.

 Maya smiled when he smiles. "Hey.''

Lucas laughs a little when she smiles. 'You're smile is way to adorable.''

Maya blushes at Lucas's words. "Thank you Lucas.''

They share a smile.

"I can't for our date.'' Maya says.

"Me too. You're going to love where I am taking you.''

"Is it amazing?"

"It's a surprise Maya. If I tell you hint, you'll know what it is.''

"I tried.''

They share a laugh.

"Oh I almost forgot.'' Lucas says and takes out his phone.

Maya watches him as he hands his phone to her.

"I need your number. If that's ok with you.'' Lucas smiles.

Maya smiles back then takes her phone out. An old flip phone. Lucas looks at her phone and smiles.

She has a flip phone? Wow that's actaully cool.

"If you need mine, I will need yours.'' Maya smiles.

They switch phones and Maya carefully holds Lucas's phone. She has never seen a phone like his.

She admired that phone.

Touchscreen.

Maya smiled and started to type her phone number.

When Lucas was younger he had a flip phone so he knew how to use it. He put his number in and looked at Maya. He smiled at how interested she seemed in his phone.

Maya hands Lucas's phone back to Lucas and takes hers. She places her flip phone in the front pocket of her jeans.

Lucas quickly put Maya Hart with a heart next to it as her contact name. Lucas already put his name for her. He put Lucas Friar with an old fashion heart (<3) next to it. Maya smiled.

"So I will call you then go to Riley's house to pick you up?'' Lucas asked.

"Yup.''

''Great. See ya hart.''

Then Lucas was gone.

"So you and Lucas huh?"

Maya looked to her right to see Missy.

"Yeah. We are going on our first date tonight.'' Maya says losing her smile.

"It would be upsetting if you didn't show up.''

Missy smirks then walks away. Maya sighed.

I hope Missy doesn't ruin this.

"Hey.''

Maya looked up to see Riley. Maya smiles slightly.

"Are you ok?" Riley asked.

"Yeah. Let's go to your house so you can help me.'' Maya smiles.

"Don't you wanna ask your mom if it ok?"

"Trust me, she won't mind.''

Riley shrugs her shoulders then smiles.

"Ok, let's go then.'' Riley smiles.

Then the two walk out of school and towards Riley's house.
