Amnesia

Chapter 4

August 21st. 10:45am.

 

Riley walked Maya to the chemistry lab. Maya felt like she wasn't going to survive third period.

What if I don't have this period with any of Riley's friends? What if I am bullied? What if I need help? Who would help me?

 

"Maya it will be ok.'' Riley says.

Maya looked at Riley.

"I am sure Lucas or Farkle has this class with you.'' Riley says.

Maya nods and walks into the chemistry lab. She looks around the room and notices that some people were sitting. She notices two girls talking. One of the girls looked at Maya and began to laugh and whisper to her best friend.

Maya sighed and walked towards a table by the two girls.

"Excuse me.''

Maya turned and faced one of the girls. Maya's eyes soften. Maya is rebellious and tough but this girl gives Maya chills.

Maya looks at the girl.

"Y-Yeah?" Maya asked.

"Lucas Friar sits where you're sitting.''

Maya feels a smile form on her face. Lucas is in chemistry with Maya.

Lucas walked in and saw Missy, the bully of there grade, picking on Maya. Lucas felt steam come out of his ears. He hates Missy and never liked her. She treats everyone like shit yet she is one of populars.

"What's going on here?" Lucas asked.

Maya and Missy looked towards Lucas and Maya smiled.

He saved me. Maya thought as she stared at Lucas.

Lucas got closer to the two girls and sat at the table with Maya. Lucas knew he has feelings for her. He just doesn't want to admit it yet. He doesn't know if Maya feels the same way. Little did he know that Maya and him are soulmates.

"Maya is my lab partner Missy. Go be lab partners with Natasha.'' Lucas says.

Maya feels her cheeks go red. Lucas looks over at Maya and smiles to himself.

Missy rolls her eyes and goes to the table where her best friend Natasha, sits.

Lucas looks at Maya and sits closer to her. Maya blushes.

"Looks like were lab partners.'' Maya laughs.

"Glad we are.'' Lucas says.

Maya smiles causing lucas to smile.

Maya walks out of the lunch line and looks around. She admires every single table looking for Riley, Farkle, or Lucas. She sighs when someone comes up behind her.

"Hey.'' Riley says making Maya jump.

Maya turned around and smiled when she saw Riley. Riley smiles back.

"How was chemistry? Meet any friends?'' Riley asked Maya.

"Well, I have chemistry with Lucas."

Riley smiled when Maya mentioned Lucas. Riley knew that Maya and Lucas have feelings for each other. The way they looked at each when they met. The smile that appears on their faces when they mentioned each other. Riley didn't meet the world yet and isn't known as a matchmaker but she could tell that they like each other. Farkle was known as the flirt of their grade so maybe Riley could talk to Farkle about Maya and Lucas.

Maya smiled at Riley when she smiled. Maya thinks of Riley as your typical girly girl who believes that she can fix everything. Riley is exactly that way. Riley just wants everyone and everything in life to go right and not get screwed up.

"Riley, what are you thinking about?" Maya asked smiling.

''Nothing.'' Riley smiles. "Lunch?"

Maya starts to jump up and down. Maya has a secret. Behind her rebellious and tough side she is actually broken. Her mom, Katy Hart, works at a diner and doesn't pay attention. Maya rarely eats and that's why she started dancing when food was mentioned.

Riley laughed at Maya dancing. Maya stops and faced Riley.

"Let's go!" Maya said and ran towards the lunch room.

Missy and Natasha looked in the lunch room and noticed Maya. Missy usually bullies Riley because she knows that Riley is extremely sensitive. Missy smirked and walked towards them.

"Oh look, little Riley has a friend." Missy laughs.

Natasha laughs along with Missy. Natasha has dirty blonde hair with green eyes. She is known as one of the hottest girls in school and is captain of the volleyball team. Missy has mouse brown hair with brown eyes. They are the best of friends.

"Leave me alone Missy.'' Riley says.

''Or what?" Missy asked.

"Or you're going to have to deal with me.''

Everyone turned their heads towards the front door. Farkle stood there and Riley smiles. Farkle walks towards Missy and he faces her.

"What are you going to do Farkle? You're just a nerdy, boney kid who can't get a date!" Missy says.

"Are you forgetting who my dad is?" Farkle says.

Mr. Minkus, or Principal Minkus is the principal of John Quincy Adams Middle School.

Missy then sighed. "Sorry Riley.''

Missy and Natasha run away and Farkle sits down. Missy ran away because she doesn't want to be expelled.

"So Maya.'' Riley smiles.

Maya looks up from her tray and looks at Riley. "Yes, Riley.''

Riley smiles. "Lucas likes you."

Maya blushes but then gets serious. "No he doesn't.''

"Keep telling yourself that. But he likes you.''

"If he did he would ask me out.''

Lucas walked into the lunch room and quickly spots Maya.

"Hey Maya, I was wondering. Would you like to go out sometime?" Lucas asked.

Riley and Farkle smiled.

Maya looked at Riley. "I hate you.''

Riley smiles. "We will leave you two alone.''

Riley grabs Farkle and they walk away leaving Maya and Lucas alone. Lucas sat down next to Maya.

Maybe he does actually like me.

Maya faced Lucas. "I would love to go out with you sometime.''
