I woke up instantly as the sun started to creep through the blinds. I rubbed my eyes still feeling very groggy, as flashbacks of last night came to play. Oh my gosh! Oh shit! What the fuck just happened? As I was silently freaking out in my head, I felt a sudden shift in the bed next to me. A large strong arm swings over my waist pulling me closer than I even thought possible to this naked man. Naked. He is naked. I'm naked. Need to get out of here ASAP! I try to move, but Lucian's arm did not budge.
"Let's sleep for just a little bit longer. Please kitten!" His voice was rough, and you could see the tiredness in his handsome face. I felt a strong urge to comfort him, and take any discomfort away from him. What a second, No! I thought as I quickly sprinted up away from his grasp, my body protesting against me as I leave his touch. Grabbing the sheet, I make quick work to wrap it around my body.
"You know I already seen everything, it's pointless to hide it now sweetheart." Lucian said as he stretch in bed. His muscles pulsing, and you could see the sweat on his skin. His blonde hair messy, and golden eyes staring at me pulling me back to him. I stood at the side of the bed debating with my mind, and heart. Love. He told me last night he love me, but did I really love him. Everything felt sudden, and fast.
"This was a big mistake." I blurted out finally founding my voice. You could see the hurt he felt from my statement in his eyes. I instantly wanted to take it back. With speed I couldn't anticipate, he got out of bed. He grabbed my wrist and brought it up to his face. Bringing my palm to his mouth he gently kisses my fingers. Then he pushes me forward until my body was pressed against his. My body reacts to his touch immediately, and I can felt my heart racing. He took two slow, deep breaths, breathing in my scent and my heart started beating against my ribs like a jackhammer. I thought I was going to have a heart attack.
"This is not a mistake, but destiny Gen. You need to accept this, we both wear the claim of our wolves. We are one, and I'm not going anywhere." He kisses my forehead softly.
"It's confusing." I finally admitted. Not wanting to admit the real truth of being scared.
" I know it is baby, wolves mate for life. Your stuck with me no matter what my love." Lucian pause for a minute as he looks towards the door. "Now get dress, and meet me in the parlor downstairs to the right. We have a lot to talk about." He smiled, and added," I had clothes brought from your home in the closet." I nodded, and Lucian kiss me on the cheek. As he moves very quickly grabbing clothes, and I'm guessing to shower somewhere else. He left me alone for the first time, I walked over to the door to see if he locked it. I turned the knob, and surprisingly the door opened. I wasn't his prisoner anymore, but a mate. I quickly showered throwing some jeans, and a purple t-shirt on. I threw my hair up in a loose ponytail, and slipped on my tennis shoes. As I walked down the hallway towards the stairs I heard whispering. As I listen more carefully it was female. Lucille.
"Yes sir, she's here." I heard her say. I was guessing she was talking on the phone. "He marked her, I'm supposed to be his." What the hell? This chick has got to go. I'm going to talk to Lucian, I just don't trust her. As I started walking downstairs, I turn a right going into the parlor. Standing in the middle of the room was no one other then my mother hugging my sister. Tears immediately shoot down my cheeks, as I ran up to them joining in on the hug.
"Mom is it really you?" I asked in disbelief.
"Yes, Gen it is. I have missed you both so much." Cass smiles towards Lucian who was standing next to the small loveseat.
"Gen Lucian saved her that night." I looked towards him, and back to my mother confused.
"Mom is this true?" I asked. My mother turned, and seat down in the chair behind her.
"After I got you girls to safety, I tried to hide knowing my fate would be the same of your fathers. Lucian found me, and he knew just from the scent behind that one of my girls would be his fated mate. He let me escape, and told me he will find me. Lucian kept his word Genesis, and indeed found me. He help me get to a safe house, and took care of me all these years. He was also looking for you girls." Lucian saved my mother, and went the extra mile to take care of her. My heart swelled as I stared at Lucian. I smiled as tears came flowing down, Lucian pulled me into a strong hug. His scent, and touch helping me to calm down. Mine.
"That's not the whole story Gen, unfortunately there is a bad side." My mother added.
Still holding onto Lucian, "what's the bad part?" I asked. This time Lucian answered.
" Your father didn't tell you or your mother about the truth. He was not killed because he mated a human, but because he made a deal with the vampire king himself. He promised his oldest daughter, in order to have your mother."
"Wait, why would he do that? And vampires? What do they want with me?" My mother stepped closer to me, " I come from a strong descended of the vampire leaders. My grandmother had a relationship with a vampire many years ago. The outcome was a living, breathing baby. A baby that could walk the day, act human. A child like this is stronger than vampires. That baby was my mother who died in childbirth with me, but she was already half way crazy. The Vampire king wants you to bare a child, because the oldest is who carries the likely gene for the child to survive." Lucian growled hearing the news. " no one is going to take my mate." I patted Lucian on his chest.
" it's okay I'm yours big,bad wolf." He smirked, as I giggled. "Damn right you are, and don't forget it."
Turning around towards my sister, and mother.
"How do we stop this bat bitting freak?"
"Hell's yeah let's kill this blood sucker." Cass yelled, as we all started laughing.
