Your POV

I walk in the forest and pass my way to the familiar path until I see a cabin. My mom is definitely in there, here favorite old brown boots are at the shoe rack.

I knock at the door and after a few seconds it opens to reveal my 32 year old mother. She looks more like 26 to me.

"Hey, mom." I smile at her. And she gives me her warmful smile and gave me hug.

"You should've told me you were coming. Have you eaten yet?" She holds my hands in hers. I really missed her.

"Nope I forgot to eat breakfast."

"What?! You little kid! How many times do I have to tell you to never skip breakfast? Come on let's go back." She shakes her head and started walking back while pulling me in the process.

"How were you?" I asked. She was still dragging me like I'm 8 years old.

"I'm doing fine actually, all this fresh air never bores me. What about you anything exciting for a change?" We get in the house and she went her way to the kitchen with me following behind her.

"Actually yes there is." She looks at me then goes back to preparing food.

"Really? What is it?"

"I auditioned in an entertainment company."
She stops.

"You really want to be an idol and show up on social media?" There was disbelief in her voice.

"Don't say it like I can't. You know I wanted this for a while now."

"I just didn't imagine that my once introverted quiet daughter now wants to be an idol, be famous and known by people." She continues cooking.

"Well we have something else to talk about. What is with you forgetting to turn off the faucet outside?"

"Oh! You mean the hose? I thought I turned it off. I was watering the plants earlier before I went to the cabin." Was she starting to be forgetful? Maybe she just has to much in her mind.

"You come sleep over at my place anytime, Mom. Well If you want too?"

"I'll keep that in mind. But for now let's eat some of my special pasta." Special indeed, it smells so good.

After eating I invited mom to go shopping with me. She was uncertain at first because she knows I don't have a job and second the idea was out of the blue but I was able to convince her anyway.

We take a bus to the mall and took our time shopping. We helped each other with picking outfits and got to eat nice food in the way.

We stopped by a jewelry store and I wanted to buy her something because her birthday is just in a couple of days.

"Hey, mom do you like any of these?" I point out to the ring section. She comes over then she makes a face and says.

"Please don't buy anything else for me these are just too expensive. We can look at another store with cheaper ones."

"아니 No need, I just wanted to buy something for myself so I asked for your opinion." She gives in and points.

"These ones look nice and friendly in price." I look over and see the rings have hearts and leaf designs. They were silver and just her type. I'll buy one for me and one more for her secretly.

"Can I please try that one with the small heart?" I tell the seller. He puts out the ring and hands it over to me. It looks warm in my hand I like it.

"What do you think mom?"

"I like it on you, it suits your skin color."
I turn back to the seller and tell him to pack it then I point out another ring and ask him to get it too. I look back to see if mom was looking, luckily she wasn't so I had the time to pay for both and put it in my bag.
