Flashback~~ Wednesday with Mom

While we were eating, we talked about my future plans.

"'Y.n' listen to me, ok?" I look up from slurping on ny pasta. "I want you to be able to do everything you want before you grown old and grey. Don't waste too much time ok? I'm really proud of you and will always be no matter what you do." She smiles at me.

"What's up with that suddenly, mom? Of course I'll do better than you and dad."

"I'm glad to hear that. Please be happy. And one day you'll find the one for you and make sure your relationship doesn't end up like mine. I actually have so many things I regret not doing."

"You can still do alot you know, your still yound anyway."

"I guess but I don't feel like doing anything anymore. I feel so tired everyday. I don't even have the slighest interest in getting into a relationship." I look up at her with worry.

"Have you visited your doctor yet? Are you drinking your maintenance?" She nods and we continue eating. I was worried so the idea of shopping came to my mind to give her an early birthday present.

Back to present~~

Why didn't she tell me back then. She just had to be straightforward and not put it in a different way. All she had to do was say she was sick! I could've moved immediately to her place.

I was crying myself out lying on the grass part of the garden. The lights were not that bright making it even more dull and sober. All I could hear was my faint sobs, insect sounds and the sound of water running. After a few minutes I calmed down and the gate was opened showing Auntie with two cups of tea on a tray.

"I knew you'd be hear. I saw amazed you were when I gave you a tour." She sat down with me placing the tray between us. We were both siting indian style looking at the lake.
It was silent for a while until she decided tk speak up first.

"She probably tried to tell you but she was too worried about you and also saying your going to be training in a company, she didn't want you to be distracted." She said.

"She did tried. I was just too blind to realize what she meant." My voice cracking by the second.

"I really wanted to tell. But I just didn't had the right to." I look at her.

"Since when?" She looks at me. "Since when did you guys knew she was sick?" She looks back to the lake and takes a deep breath.

"Last month. She went here right after her visit to her doctor and told us about it. Your father was still in the US so he had to talk to us through phone." Silence came back and I take a sip of the tea.

"Thank you." I start to tear up again. "Thank you for telling me. And for everything so far you've been so great. I really appreciate that." She hugs me.

"No matter what happens I'll be here for you. Don't worry everything is going to be alright."

We head back and she helped me settle in my room. Now I'm just laying on my bed and staring at the ceiling. I don't even feel like brushing my teeth. Somebody knocked on the door and it opened to reveal my dad. He swallowed down hard first before speaking.

"Do you need anything, 'y.n'?" He asks by door.

"Nothing really." He looks around and comes in fully leaving the door open. He sits beside me by the bed.

"I'm sorry that I couldn't tell you sooner. It's the least I could do to repay your mom. You know how much I owe her." I look down remembering past memories of my childhood.
