Part 31 - Hyunjins parents

I'm so scared. Today I have to meet Hyunjins parents. Right now we're in his car. I'm sitting next to him with some cupcakes in my hands.

"They won't like me."

"Why do you think so?"

"I'm sure they would want you to bring home a girl from rich family, very smart and fancy, which is not me."

"They're not like that. Plus if they love me they have to cherish who I choose to be with."

"What do you mean "they're not like that"?"

"They weren't born rich. They know how it is to live a normal life."

"Thats good for me."

"Look! We're here!"

I looked out of my widow and saw a huge mansion. It was pretty.

As we got out of the car we got greeted by an old man.

"Hyunjin, welcome home. Your parents are waiting for you in the garden. They are very exited."

"Thank you, Leo."

"Who is he?"

"He's our main employee. He's been working here for the past 30 years."

"He seems nice."

"He is."

Hyunjin opened the front door and let us in. In front of us was a huge living room it had light yellow walls and was very well decorated.

I followed Hyunjin to the door that led us to the garden. We entered the garden and I lost my breath. It was huge and you could see the lake that was infront of the garden from here. There were many flowers and bushes. In the middle of it all was a beautiful summerhouse. It was in white color and had a few golden decorations. I could see two people sitting there.

"Are those your parents?"

He took a hold of my hand and we joined our hands.

"You will like them and I'm sure they will like you."

The closer we got the better I could see them.

His father was wearing blue clothes. While his mum had a pink dress, just like me. She was also waring a beautiful pink hat. Fancy.

"Hyunjin, we were waiting for you two."

"Hello to you too father."

"Hello I'm Hyunjins mum and you must be Y/N."

"Hello!"

I felt so awkward.

"We brought some cupcakes."

"Oh I love cupcakes. Let's sit down."

"Leo, make us some tea, please."

We sat down and got to know each other.

"Hyunjin said you like to play violin."

"Yes. I do."

"I wish I could play something, but when I was little my parents said, that I don't need that. What a shame."

"Actually Y/N used to play violin where I work. Thats how we met."

"Used to?"

"Um... yes... long story short I had to quit."

"So where do you work now."

"At a grocery shop. It's nothing much, but better than nothing."

"I agree."

Leo brought us our tea and we got to know each other more.

Turnes out they are very nice people. All my worries were unworthy. I told them a little bit about my family. They were happy to know that I'm also from here. They shared storys about Hyunjins childhood, about their family, and abput their past.

"It's already lunch time. Will you stay for lunch?"

"Yeah we could."

"Great! How about Hyunjin showing you around while the lunch is still not on the table?"

"That would be great!"

We left the garden and entered the house.

"Where do we start?"

"Come here!"

Hyunjin took me on tour around the house first. It was quite fun I saw their living room, kitchen, dining room, library, hyunjins bedroom, indoor pool. I met all the maids and workets. Then we returned to garden and explored the backyard, then frontyard.

"We should head inside the lunch is ready."

The lunch was very delicious.

After lunch it was time to go.

"Thank you for today. I had a great time."

"Promise me I'll see you soon."

"You will mother."

"Goodbye drive safely."
