After dinner, Dean helped Peregrine clear the table. "Thank you Dean." She smiled at him, her eyes twinkling in the twilight. "No prob, Sam's out cold. You wanna go somewhere?" He asked dangling the hotel room key in front of her face. "I don't know, we shouldn't leave Sam alone." She frowned and her eyebrows knit together. "Please???" He leaned closer to her and gently pushed her hair out of her eyes. "Sure." She sighed and watched as her breath ruffled his soft brown hair. He led her to the door. "Wait, we should leave Sam a note. You know just in case he wakes up." After they wrote a note, he took her by the arm and led her on the whirlwind adventure of her life. "That was fun." She smiled up at him, his green eyes caught the light and they twinkled gently. "Yeah, it was." He licked his lips and started leaning in to kiss her. "Wait." She pressed her finger to his lips. "Not yet." He nodded and opened the door for her. "I'll take the couch." She said walking into the bathroom to change. "Okay, but tomorrow I'm sleeping on the couch." Dean collapsed, fully clothed. Peregrine smiled and helped him get under the covers. "Goodnight." She whispered, kissing each of the boys on the forehead. Sam woke her in the morning with a gentle shake. "Hey, we made you pancakes!" He beamed down at her, she smiled wiping the sleep from her eyes. "You did? That's so sweet!" She got up and sat at the Kitchenette's table. They looked like the perfect little nuclear family. "I'm going to go change." After she left the room, Sam told Dean that he knew that they left last night. "Don't let her become just another conquest." Dean nodded solemnly. "Hey, why so glum?" Peregrine asked, her brow wrinkled. "Nothing." Both boys answered in unison. "Well this might cheer you up, we're all good back to school shopping!" She grinned at the boys, and Sam's jaw dropped. "We're staying here that long?" Dean rolled his eyes, "Come on Sam, grow up. You know dad he'll show up in a few days and pull us right out of school." Sam's heart fell, and he fought back tears. The worst part was Dean wasn't wrong, the John they knew would come back and break their hearts tearing them away from Peregrine. "Come on it'll be fun." She ushered them out the door and down the street, eventually Dean's comment was forgotten. They walked from store to store, every so often Dean and Peregrine were asked how old their "son" was. Dean continually answered, "He's my little brother and he's twelve." Girls of all ages kept telling Peregrine how lucky she was to have Dean. She never denied dating him. "Are you two boyfriend and girlfriend now?" Sam asked as they were walking home. "No." Peregrine giggled gently. "Why not?" Dean asked, his eyes twinkling with glee. "Because, we're not." She looked at him as if challenging him to say different. "Well, if I asked you, would we be?" Dean asked, stopping the group in their tracks. "Well that depends, are you asking?" She looked at him, trying not to show just how much she wanted him to. "Yes." He said defiantly. "Then, yes." They both lost their serious air and giggled as he wrapped his arm around her. She pressed her lips against his, and he hugged her tightly. "Eww, you guys are gross." Sam stuck his tongue out, and Dean laughed pulling away. "Well, that's enough of that." Peregrine smoothed down her dress and tossed her cotton candy pink hair. "Let's go home." She held out her hand to Sam, the trio made they way back to the hotel ready for their next adventure.
