Hello readers!
Firstly, I want to thank you for deciding to pick up this book and reading it, I hope you are able to join me on my journey to learn more about myself and learn how to healthily deal with my mental illnesses.
-warning-
This book mentions suicide, suicidal thoughts, depression. Please be careful while reading or do not read if any of these mentions trigger you.Now for a small introduction! My name is Moira Tambiloc. I am currently 18, turning 19 on October 26 this year. I was born in the Philippines and moved to Canada when I was turning 6 in 2007. I did one or two years of schooling in the Philippines and the rest in Canada. I graduated high school in Ontario and immediately went to university for criminology. After realizing I couldn't afford it and didn't know exactly what I would go into with a criminology degree, I dropped out and got a full time job at a call center. I quickly got promoted after two months to be a trainer. I recently moved into student housing to live closer to my job and the school I will be attending next school year. I have switched to majoring in architectural technology since I enjoy math and designing and also because of the money.
I had a lot of mental issues growing up that went unnoticed. I had thoughts of suicide as young as 9 years old, even threatening my parents that I would do it. I struggled with being depressed and finding no meaning in life since I was 10. I had issues with maintaining healthy relationships with friends and classmates, often times manipulating them or using them to my advantage. I harbored resentment towards my mom growing up which affected my emotions and my actions towards others.
These are all behaviors that I consider very wrong and inexcusable which is why I have decided to take a step back, review my thoughts and decisions and work on getting through these irrational behaviors to better myself.
So sit back and join me on my probably chaotic journey to become a mentally healthier person.
