Chapter Four

*Vince POV*

Right now it was the day before we ventured into the Great Orcus Labyrinth, I was fighting against Dan, and winning easily. He tried to strike me, but I parried it, then I followed it up with a kick to the chest. While he was done, he tried to tackle me, but I just jumped over him and kicked him down. I hover my blade over his neck.

"Do you surrender? I am sure that we can continue if you want." I asked him. He just grunted and pushed my sword to the side. I sheathed it and looked over to see my brother clapping. "Bravo Vince! Bravo!" he said. He blowed (who)my head in triumph. Once I looked up, I saw that pope guy staring at me in disgust. What is he looking at?

I walked over to Bryce while Captain Meld gathered everyone around. "Alright listen up! Tomorrow is a big day for all of us. Tomorrow we are going into the Labyrinth. We are heading to the 20th floor, there we can tell if you are pros or amateurs in our world standards. Of course you decide afterwards whether or not you like to stay and fight to aid us or go back home. Now rest up everyone, the rest of the day is yours. Use it well. Dismissed!"

We then walked away into several smaller groups, of course me and my brother were heading towards the library to find out the type of monsters we might find. "You think we are going to find slime down there Bryce?" I ask him. "Probably more, I wouldn't doubt if something happened. Probably some demon knows of us and will try to spring a trap to some boss or something." Bryce said before looking at the readers. "Who are you looking at? I don't see anyone over there." I asked. "Oh no one, just talking to myself,*whispers* and the audience." Bryce said while mumbling the last part. "Okay then well let us go and find out what we need for tomorrow. I want to be prepared. Shall we?" I opened the door for my brother. "Yes we shall."

Right now we are on a knight escort to the dungeon. Me and my brother were carrying several things we needed for it. Health potions, first aid, extra food, and of course for myself some poison for the monsters. You may never know when you need it. "Alright ladies!" Meld said as he stopped everyone. "This is how it goes, we knights will go in and check for traps, you all just focus on the monsters to get stronger! Is that understood!" Everyone shouted in unison. "YES SIR!" He then motioned everyone to continue on, as we walked, I could tell that Dan and his brother Daisuke were whispering to each other. I wonder what?

"Everyone get to your groups!" Meld order. Me, my brother, Kaori, Shizuku, Daisuke, Dan, Endou, and Eri were in one. We had several knights, around 10. We walked into a room that had about 6 Ratmen, wow. Me and Dan stepped forward and quickly took care of them with 2 slashed each. We then continued on till we reached floor 20 with minimum effort. "Hey Bryce, what's that?" I point to a large crystal on the wall. "I think some kind of magic crystal, but I don't think I ever saw that kind of crystal." Bryce said. A knight stepped forward and spoke. "That is a glanz crystal. Nothing special at all. But the rich love making a proposal rings out of them." So a wedding ring huh. "Well, I can sense mag-." Bryce was cut off as Daisuke touched the crystal. Once touching it a bright light appeared, and the next thing we knew we were on a bridge of some kind.

I grabbed Daisuke and punched him. "You idiot, next time let the knight test it!" Dan grabbed my shoulder and forced me to face him. "Hey leave my brother alone!" He shouted. "Maybe tell your brother to think before he started touching magic stuff!" I retort. "Hey, let's forget about that now. Right now, we need to figure out how to get out." Bryce said while pulling me back and calming me down. "Fine. Captain Meld, where are we?" I looked over his direction and he was looking around with a scared face. "The si-sixty fifth floor." I widened my eyes once he said that. The farthest anyone had ever gone. Soon two magic circles appear on either end of the bridge. I pulled my arm out to shield my brother.
