The Assignment

~Brie P.O.V~

I am awoken by the sound of my alarm clock beeping extra loud.

"Stupid clock," I mutter while turning off my alarm clock.

I get up and dress in my usual clothes. A crop-top shirt and some jeans with vans.

I head to the kitchen to eat something before I go.

"It's quiet.. Alex must be asleep," I think.

I grab my backpack and take off walking to school.

It is now 8th period which is Drama. My worst class of all. I have to be stuck with the boy every girl is desperately in love with as my partner.

About 10 minutes after the bell has rung Mrs. Martinez ,our teacher, begins to talk.

I notice Jace has not came yet. Maybe he decided to not come for once. Thank god.

"Okay class today you will be getting an assignment of-" she says before being rudely interrupted by Jace.

"Sorry I'm late Mrs.M," he says.

"Ugh why'd he show up." I think in my head so no one will hear.

"It is Mrs. Martinez to you, sir. Take your seat" she rudely says.

He takes a seat right next to me.

"Brie." He says while smiling cockily at me.

"Jace." I say without bothering to even glance at him.

"As I was saying.. You will be getting assigned your own little play that will be performed here in class. You will do this play with your partner, " she says looking at each of us.

You will be choosing a paper from this hat and whatever topic you get will be one of these scripts," she continues while showing us the scripts.

As she goes around with the hat, I pray that we don't get a romance.

"So Brie," Jace says.

"Looks like we will be doing a play together huh," he says smiling cockily, winking once.

"I'm not too happy about it," I sigh.

"Come on it will be fun." He says getting oddly closer to me.

"Brie and Jace time to pick." Mrs.Martinez says shoving the hat towards me.

I put my hand in the hat and slowly remove a paper.

I open it and to my luck it has the word "romance" on it.

"No !" I say in my head.

Rrrrriiiing

There goes the bell.

Everyone grabs their things and leaves.

I slowly get up and grab my things and head for the door.

Jace is there waiting for me.

"What did we get hm?" He says.

"Romance.." I say while rolling my eyes.

"That's fun," he says getting close to me again.

"Sure," I rudely say.

"How about we practice tomorrow after school?" He gets close and whispers into my ear.

I push away and say," Anything to get it over with."

"Don't be grumpy." He says then kisses my cheek and leaves.

"What just happened..." I turn around and I don't see him anymore.

What I do see is millions of girls looking at me.

Dear god..
