New guy

~Jace POV~

"I'm an idiot."

"Yeah you are." Sean responds, kind of giving me a look that I'm not sure I can put together.

"Oh shut up. If it wasn't for you I wouldn't be pacing around focusing on one girl when they're could be millions of girls out there," I scoff, folding my arms, and running one band through my hair.

"Wow," he mutters.

"You are a inconsiderate jerk," he mocks.

"I'm the inconsiderate jerk? You're the one who put me up to this!" I yell overreacting. It was his fault that he even mentioned some stupid deal in the first place. There is plant of people id rather talk to, but I will not lose.

"Yeah but you didn't have to go through with it!" he yells back the same volume as I did. I'm taken by surprise as for he's never yelled at me before," You could've denied it and you would have never even had to talk to her whatsoever."

He's right. But Jace Norman never turns down a bet like this. Never has.

Never will.

"You knew I wouldn't turn this down! You still put the bet on the table!" I argue back knowing that even though I'm fighting back; I'm losing.

"Either way all you want to do is hurt everyone! You don't let anyone through; you're too busy in the center of the attention that you don't care who or what is in the way as long as you are the king of everything" He fires back, stunning me for a few seconds. As much as I don't agree with his attitude; he is right.

"I- I,uh," I find myself at a lost for words.

"Speechless? Thought so." He says leaving me alone in my room with nothing but my pure thoughts.

If this was some other girl; I would have been done and it would have been an easy win. But this is Brie.. she isn't like the other girls. She's stubborn and sure as hell will not give up without a fight.

~Bries POV~

Knock knock

"Who is it ?" I manage to mumble.

"Nikki," replies the person opposite from my side of the door.

"Oh. In that case, come in."

"Hey, are you,uh,okay?" She mid questions.

" I'm alright. All I can think of is that stupid Bryanna and her not-so-pretty wannabes," I remind her.

"Ugh don't listen to to them. Or he-that-should-not-be-mentioned," She says making sure she doesn't says his name.

"Why should I ? He's stupid and I am never talking to-Wait. Ugh I still have that damn play in Drama to do," I point out,now regretting not asking Mrs.Martinez for another partner.

Beep beep

J:Please answer.

"Ugh it's him again," I mutter showing Nikki.

"Ignorreeeee," I say throwing my phone somewhere on my pillow.

"How about we dress you up and we go walking to the mall. It isn't far anyway," Nikki suggests.

"Why not? It's not like I care about him and what he thinks about me either way!" I shout.

I get dressed in white shorts and a crop top that shows a bit of my stomach.

So much for being called a nerd at school.

"Hows this ? " I ask her and she nods in agreement.

"Let's go"
