Obi Wan's task force had arrived at the Citadel and had to climb up a mountain with electro mines. They could not touch them or the separatist commander would know they were there. To make matters worse, Ahsoka had snuck aboard and was a part of the mission. Just as everyone was on top of the hill, Charger slipped and fell into the lava below, killing him. Fives was horrified and now the enemy knew they were there.
One inside, an electro beam came and killed Longshot. "Longshot!" Cody yelled. Cody was sad he lost such a good solider but knew they had to keep moving. Anakin and Obi Wan saved Even Peil and got to the escape shuttle, but the droids attacked them and the Jedi task force were pinned down. Echo saw a droid man a large gun turrets and he took a shield and ran to protect the shuttle. "This is our only chance, we got to stop it." Echo said. Fives got scared. "Echo, look out." Fives saw Echo get blown to bits. He was enraged his best friend was dead and he felt responsible now all of his squad was dead. The clones he trained with were now gone. Droidbait, Cutup, Heavy, and now Echo. "Echo!" he yelled. The group escaped but they lost Even Peil along the way but Ahsoka got the information.
After the team left, Echo woke up. He felt so much pain, his legs and right arm were gone and then saw the droids take him prisoner. Fives was in his quarters then Rex came in. "Hey Fives, I'm sorry about Echo." Rex said. Fives did not respond. Rex knew Fives needed to be alone so he left to go to Anakin.
