A few months later Captain Rex was under siege on the planet of Umbara. Anakin had to leave and they were placed under the command of Jedi Master Pong Krell, a person who hated clones. Rex and his brothers could not see anything. "If we draw them out we can see them, if we can see them we can hit them." Rex ordered they won the small fight but then a while later took control of an enemy airbase.
Pong Krell ordered they don't use the starfighters to destroy the enemy ship above the planet. Jesse, Fives, and Hardcase disobeyed Krell and destroyed the ship but Hardcase died along the way. Fives and Jesse were ordered to be killed but the clones refused. Fives and Jesse were locked up in the prison.
The clones were ordered to stop the enemy and were told that the enemy would wear clone armor. Halfway into the fight the 501st found out the enemy was the 212th. Rex stopped and ordered his men to stand down. Kix found Waxer and Rex ran to him.
Rex kneeled to Waxer to at height level. "Waxer who gave you the orders to attack us?" Rex asked. Waxer responded by saying, "It was General Krell. He sent us to these coordinates to stop the enemy. e thought they were wearing our armor but it was you." Waxer said, then died.
Rex knew Krell betrayed them then he captured Krell and a fellow trooper Dogma killed Krell.
