You may need to build a house to protect yourself and your possessions in Survival mode, where you might want to build a beautiful village in Creative mode. Whatever your requirements, houses are one of the most important constructions to get right.
Tip: You'll need to place a stair block next to a regular block, then destroy the regular block once the stair is in position. Aim for the lower half of the block you're placing them against so they're placed in an upward direction. If you aim for the upper part of a block, the stairs will face downwards.
