It was a normal day at Los Angeles. Traffic was at its usual, the sounds of children playing and dogs barking fill the air. Building stood their tallest and stored were doing their business well. Nothing much was out of the ordinary.
Josh Callum, known chef at his own restaurant, the Farmer's Fresh. He was doing his usual business, selling high-quality food to the folks of New York City. He enjoyed his life, living in the Big Apple and selling food to people across the street. However, this would all change as of November 29th, 2020. The day when he had gotten an invite to a school reunion party, hosted by an unknown person.
Who would host a school party? Probably Blake. Josh thought for a moment before he looked at the note. Then again, he could be busy at this point.
The male then decided to crack the envelope and take the note out. He then reads.
"Dear Mr. Callum,
You have been invited to attend a class reunion at the Leòn hotel, the 5-star mansion with many accomodations to offer. You and your class will have the time of your life and enjoy many festivities. We insist you go, no one would like to miss this event. The party starts by 7:00 PM at October 1 of the year 2020. We suggest that you do not bring any electronic device to ensure that the party will be a blast! Hope to see you there.
-unknown"
Josh then took out his phone and checked the time. 7:00, that's the time the restaurant closes. At least I can prep. He thought and he folded the note and continued his routine. Too much formal writing, definitely not Blake.
~~~~~~[Timeskip to Oct. 1st, 2020. 6:00 PM]~~~~~~
"Here you go sir." Larry, the waiter (try guessing the ref) spoke as he handed a customer his order.
Josh was about to finish his shift as he then checks his phone. He then decided to stop for the night. He then slid on his red plaid hoodie. He then headed out the kitchen doors and saw Larry finished with his shift.
"Hey Larry. Done with your shift I see...you have something to do?" He asked, turning over the sign to 'Closed'
"Yup. Gotta be ready for dem trick or treaters." The waiter responds with a smile as he took off his hat. "You seem to have an occasion yourself."
Larry, the family man himself. Josh thought jokingly. There's nothing bad about it anyway.
"Yeah, I got this random invite to a school reunion at the Leòn hotel." Josh responded, as he Larry walked out of the restaurant as the lights closed.
"The Leòn hotel? The five-star luxury mansion? Seems too good to be true." Larry pointed out as he then looked at the male.
"True. The note didn't have the name of the sender. Probably something to up the level for the spoon this year." The brunette responded, looking at Larry. "Anyways, I gotta go. See you tomorrow."
Larry waves goodbye as Josh hopped into his car and started the engine. Josh then turned on the GPS in his car and headed for the hotel.
As he had his road trip that took around 20 minutes, he noticed a scarecrow with a decapitated head. He felt a chill down his spine as he drove to the location. He then arrived, having 5 minutes to spare. He then got off his car and headed to the doors of the hotel.
