Kioko stood behind some trees, witnessing the boy's training session. Her eyes glued onto the blade that he carried as he desperately tried to avoid Urokodaki's effortless attacks. Panting heavily with every move he took.
The girl, cautiously lurked around a bit before turning back to the cabin. Keeping quiet about every action she took. Her faded locks bouncing around each skip she would do.
She felt jealous, not being able to hold a sword to herself, forbbiden from practicing the special arts.
Urokodaki seemed too paranoid about Kioko, protecting her from ever being killed by the hands of the demons. Nonetheless, she still learned by watching everything that was happening.Giyū would train everyday with Sabito, while the barely double-digit female watched from afar, her eyes beaming from the movements the boys would mimic from their master, her eyes entranced with the beauty of it all, "Urokodaki! Sabito! Giyū!!" The girl exclaimed once their small fight was over, her small hands made unto fists as she awed over the young boys, "Did you like that, Kioko?" Giyū smiled at the small girl, a small one at best while Sabito laughed a bit.
That's when her passion started, her desire to learn those skills of the special swordsman, the way her eyes showed the must for adventure, the want of protecting those who needed her the most. Victims of the creatures that lurked among them.---
"Kamado, Would you like to spend your night with Nezuko?" The girl asked, peeking her head out from the demon's room, Tanjiro smiled at her, "If that's okay with you— But where would you sleep?" He asked.
These past few days you would sleep in your room, which had now become Nezuko's as well, while Tanjiro would go out and train at night with Urokodaki. "Its okay, I could bring a futon into the shared area" Kioko smiled at the boy— a battle of kindness had begun between the two. "Oh, no, that's not good for your back is it? You can stay with Nezuko, I trust you" He insisted, making Kioko shake her head once more before coming up with a plan, "I don't mind sharing the room with one more— I'll put your futon next to Nezuko and I'll bring mine closer to the wall" She proposed, keeping the small smile that graced her features. Tanjiro's eyes beamed at the idea, something he could get the hang of, "If that's okay with you" His kind smile made Kioko's grow a bit bigger, her genuineness becoming more apparent as she left to do what she had just said.
---
The girl looked upon her city, it had become abandoned at best, her eyes never leaving the sight of bloodstains here and there— Black dressed people rushing around as they seemed to be cleaning up the area, Kioko followed those said people, finding the covered corpses of those who were once inhabiting the area she currently found herself in, her eyes not wavering at the view. Yet understanding everything, "Oh? What's this?" A female voice cane closer to the child, a smile present on her face as she crouched down to her eye level, "Are you lost?" She asked, her tone was soft as she brushed a few strands of the child's hair away from her face to get a better look at her. The female shook her head before pointing at the corpses, "Nii-Chan" was all she said, not a hint of emotion hitting her as she watched them take the corpses away. "So you're alone now, huh? Are you in pain?" The butterfly themed female hummed, standing up stretching her hand out for the child to grab.
The child reluctantly grabbed onto it, knowing what it meant, "Am I gonna be okay?" She asked the older female, her eyes never dimming down as she witnessed everything that was happening. "I'll make sure of it" She smiled, taking the female away.---
Once more, Kioko lurked around, hiding in between the shadows, gazing at the hardworking boy who kept at it even though Urokodaki had stopped the lesson for the day.
He swung the sword, practicing the way he handled it, his eyes filled with determination.
Kioko took note of what he was doing, her never ending smile making her seem a bit creepy and distant. "You're doing it wrong" She spoke up, coming out from between the shadows as she approached the student, "Keep your strength consistent as you swing, but don't be stiff— let yourself go" She explained readjusting his position. Tanjiro looked at her in awe as she disappeared back into the shadows.
