"Alright guys I think I've had enough for one night." I smiled standing up from my table where my friends were sat at.

"Bye ( Y/N ) !" Sonic smiled as Amy, Shadow, Knuckles, and Silver did the same. Tails seemed unamused as a sad expression washed across his face. His gaze shifted from me to the ground, I turned my attention to him with a sigh. "What's wrong?"

"Are you sure you want to leave right now? Can't you wait a little longer." He stood up from his seat and stood right in front of you.

"I'm sure, besides you have everyone else to keep you company." I gestured towards the others sat at the table. Tails' hands gripped mine, it felt weird but I didn't have a clue to why. We use to hold hands all the time when we were kids. I guess a lot has changed since then. His hands were now bigger which made my stomach flutter when he'd grip them. Dating back to when we were kids I was slightly taller then him, and since he's changed so much and his growth spurt finally caught up to him, he was taller than me.

"But not everyone's you." He muttered softly, looking down at me. I chuckled as he stuck his lower lip and started to quiver it, pouting. He sighed and looked at me in defeat when his attempt to guilt trip me didn't work. "Fine, but please please please be safe."

"I will." I nodded, heading out the door.

I start trudging slowly down the streets when out of the corner of my eye I see a car drive up to the street next to me. It seemed to follow wherever I was going, so I circled around the bar and when I still saw the car I came to the conclusion that it was following me.

Or, it possibly was someone I knew.

I came to a halt a few steps away from the bar and watched the car slowly cruise into a stop.

That's when I heard it.

One slightly muffled voice that said, "Grab them."

Suddenly a wolf leaped out of the vehicle, their hands trying to force me into the car.

I cried desperately for help hoping that someone or something would save me, while pure fear coursed through my veins.

As I cried helplessly a figure came rushing to my aid, I was extremely grateful although I couldn't see since my eyes were blurry from tears that start to form.

I felt the wolf release me from his clutches as I melted into the arms of a seemingly familiar person.

Wiping the tears from my eyes, I looked up just to see;

Him.

"Tails!" I shut my eyes, letting my self relax and lean further into his embrace. He stroked the top of my head with his hand holding me as tight as ever. "How did you know what was happening ?"

"I heard screaming from outside the bar and I went to investigate. Then I saw you and I didn't think I just reacted. It was kind of like nothing really matter within that moment except for you." He blushed, sighing a bit. His face looked like he had something he needed to tell me but he was too nervous to do so. "I need to tell you something."

I gently held his face in my hands. "I'm listening."

"I-" he started but stopped. "It's nothing, just forget about it." He looked like he was so disappointed in himself but I decided not to question it since he did technically save my life  5 minutes ago.

"Okay then, how about we go inside and stay a bit longer." I offered gesturing at the bar. He smiled but something about it didn't seem too genuine.

"Sounds like a plan, you go inside I'll catch up in a few." He responded.

I shrugged while nodding, as I headed into the bar.

Tails looked around to make sure nobody was watching, he must've done so 10 times by now because he noticed people leaving the bar. Just as the last person who was leaving exited and the door slammed shut and Tails took his opportunity and yelled out;

"IM IN LOVE WITH (Y/N) (Y/L/N)"

If only he could tell her.
