{College AU}

The scene starts at a hallway of the exclusive dorms of U.A. College, one of the most prestigious schools in the country. A certain dual-haired boy was strolling by when he hears sobbing from one of the rooms in the hall. He finds the source coming from one of the girls' dorms.

'Why is Yaoyorozu crying?'

He softly knocked on the door and announced himself. The door opened to reveal black lead eyes, red from crying. This startled him as he felt a surge to protect her from what had caused those tears.

"Do you need help, Todoroki-kun?"

Her voice took him out of his thoughts.

"Ahh. Can I come inside?"

"Oh, of course."

Shouto Todoroki made his way in and looked at the slightly cramped room belonging to one of the top students of his class. What caught his eyes was a pot filled with roses that haven't bloomed yet.

"Have a seat, Todoroki-kun." Yaomomo offered as she gestured to a chair.

"Thanks."

After sitting down, an awkward silence took place. Momo swore she could hear cricket sound effects.

"Yaomomo, you have to answer truthfully."

"What is it, Todoroki?"

"Why were you crying?"

Momo's eyes widened. He had heard her crying? On top of that, why did he want to know? Her reason was just as pathetic as she was.

'He doesn't need to know.'

"I'm fine. You don't need to worry about me."

"Yaomomo, I know you're lying."

"W-w-what do y-you mean?" Momo stammered.

"That you're fine. That's a big, fat lie." Todoroki somehow replied with a straight face. "Yaomomo, you can tell me anything. Even if how pathetic you think the reason is, you can tell me. I'm you're first 'BFF' after all."

He then smiled at her. It was nothing much, just a small grin on his lips. But his smile made her feel more than comfortable to tell him almost everything.

The dam broke and her tears came out. "I-i-i'm tired o-of a-always being relied on. People r-rely on me b-bec-because I'm smart. And th-then my pa-parent's expectations are too much for me. I some-sometimes wish I was born du-dumb. . ."

She trailed off as she let all the tears flow. She broke down on the floor. Nothing was said and only Momo's sobs were heard in her dorm. Now she was scared Todoroki was going to judge her for breaking down in front of him, for crying about a really pathetic reason.

But that was not the case with him. She felt a warm hand on her cheek wiping away her tears. She looked up and stared into beautiful heterochromic eyes.

The dual haired boy then hugged her tightly. Momo was shocked at the gesture as he usually never showed his feelings. But then, she felt safe and another fuzzy feeling she couldn't distinguish. But that didn't matter, all that mattered was that she had someone who would listen and comfort her.

During that week, Yaomomo's roses weren't the only red, beautiful things that bloomed.
