{Flower Shop AU}

The bell rang signifying the first customer of the day. Nejire, a bubbly blue-haired girl, looked up to see a tall young man with elfish ears and long indigo hair.

He then went up the counter, slammed 800 yen on the mantle, and asked:

"My sister's birthday is tomorrow. Which flowers mean innocence, love, and friendship?"

For once, Nejire was able to put being fluent in the Victorian Language of Flowers to good use. She had studied it for an entire month during college as part of her dedication to own a flower shop. People told her only roses were gonna matter but she didn't care. Looking back at it, she was glad she didn't listen to them.

She picked out white carnations, red chrysanthemums, gardenias, and a few pink roses. She arranged the flowers and wrapped them in hot pink flower wrapping paper.

He looked relieved when she handed him the bouquet and the receipt.

"Thanks, I panicked back there." He grinned.

"No worries! I hope you visit again!" Nejire responded.

"I probably will."

"If that's so, then let's learn each other's names!"

He grinned and held out his hand, "I'm Tamaki Amajiki, nice to meet you."

Nejire took out her hand to shake his, "Hado Nejire, good to meet you as well!"

After exchanging numbers, more customers came in. Amajiki waved goodbye and went out. The day continued for the both of them. Nejire serving customers and Amijiki finding another present for his sister.

Little did they know of the purple lilacs blooming in their hearts.
