Part 5

Zhuocheng POV

When I went to pick up Xiao Zhan from his house this morning, he wasn't home. Which was strange because we always go to school together. That traitor ditched me again? (╬ಠ益ಠ)

When I reached to school, another peculiar sight awaited me. Wang Yibo was dragging away Xiao Zhan to the rooftop.

When did these two become friends?

I wanted to follow him but I respected their privacy, excuse you but I am not the scum you make of me 눈_눈

 They came back before the bell rang. But Wang Yibo came to the front seat, which was assigned to Xiao Zhan. I saw him mentally slapping himself. Maybe he made a mistake?

I got my attention towards Xiao Zhan, who was oddly quiet. So, I decided to break the silence,

"Hey why did you ditch me today?" Yes, I was salty ಠ╭╮ಠ

I asked and he looked bewildered. I swore I could see a hint of jealousy in his eyes but who was he jealous from?

"Ah.. Sorry."

Was all he could manage. The bell rang before I could ask anything. The entire time, I kept looking at him and kept glaring at Wang Yibo. I was mad at whatever he did to make my friend upset. Wang Yibo on the other hand also looked perplexed. What happened to the famous No Expression?

Like usual, I dragged Zhan to the cafeteria and we ate the Melon bun. It was his favorite but he didn't look like he was enjoying it. Was it because he had to pay for mine too as a punishment for this morning? Wow Zhan, i didn't know you valued your melon bun more?  Wang Yibo on the other hand was eating as if he had seen a bento for the first time.

The remaining classes were the same, I was too occupied worrying about Zhan that I didn't pay much attention to the teachers. And the last bell rang, I waited for most of the students to leave then I went straight to Wang Yibo and slammed hard on his desk. The guy flinched in fear and I almost regretted doing that. But I needed answers for Zhan.

"We need to talk!"

The anger was quite audible in my voice. But not in the million years I expected him to call me

"C-Cheng I-"

"Don't call me that!"

Of course, I was angry. He's not my friend why was he calling me like he knew me for years?

"Sorry...I"

He begun to ramble but what shook me off guard was when Xiao Zhan came from behind and said

"Zhuocheng you go first, I want to talk to Wang Yibo for a while."

Really Zhan? Now that you paid for the melon bun, you will act distant? Did you forget it was you who first betrayed me? ಥ╭╮ ಥ 

I was hurt, oh so very hurt.

"Alright Zhan, but if this bastard does anything to you tell me immediately."

Even when I got back home, my mind was a mess. Xiao Zhan had never been this cold to me even when we stole cookies from the bakery before. We were kids just saying.

 What did I do? I scratched my skull hard to remember anything that I might have said or done to make him angry but there was nothing I could specifically point out. We always bicker with each other like Tom and Jerry so why was he so different now?

"What's the matter A-Cheng?"

Sweet voice of my sister, Xuan Lu gained all of my attention. She must have suspected something was wrong.
