I rifle through the pile of chattel sprawled all over my apartment floor. It's been almost a month since I moved in from Drew's and I haven't had much time to organize. Well, that would've been sorted if I wasn't so busy with work. Speaking of work, Where are those damn keys. One more minute and I'm going to be late. On a freaking Thursday.

'Oh God, where are they?' I dart across the corridor into the kitchen and find my keys on the kitchen counter. 'There you are.' I charge into the living room for my black heels slipping my feet into them and presenting myself to the wall mirror. I ruffle my long, brown hair flicking it from side to side. My honey brown eyes look tired and lack their usual sparkle. No doubt lacking enough rest in the last couple of days.

I turn back to my living room chair grabbing my phone when it starts to ring. It's Vivian. 'Vivian?' I put it on speaker and begin to organize my bag. Putting my laptop and other stuff in the right places.

'Morning, Jo'

'Morning.' I sing my response as I put on my wristwatch. 'Are you back from Cleveland?' I ask, turning towards the wall mirror to give myself a final look over. I sweep the wand of my gloss across my lips and smack them together.

'Not until noon. You at work yet?' She asks.

'On my way, just stepping out.' I say grabbing my perfume for a final touch-up.

'How was the move, did you get all your stuff?' She asks.

Sighing 'Yes, I did.' I hear muffles and some unintelligible words through the phone. 'What is it?' I ask as I grab my mascara.

She sighs 'I got a call from Jonathan last night.' She paused. Jonathan? I could think of a million reasons my twin brother would call her, seeing as they got so close this past month he got back from Australia. But what she said next came as a shocker. 'He got into a fist with Drew last night.'

I pause mid-mascara application. 'What?' I grab my phone immediately putting it to my ears. 'What the hell would he do that for?' I asked in shock. 'What happened?'

'He was with his friends last night and saw Drew coming out of the bar with a woman in his arms.' I shot my eyes getting a clear picture of what the whole fight was about. 'They had an altercation and Drew couldn't keep his bitch ass shut, so Jon did a number on him.'

'You've got to be kidding me.' I mutter.

'Jon tried to get him under control but the twat kept spilling shit about you. Jon sealed his lips with his fist and it got a little out of hand.'

Imagining the situation is no good cause I'm certain Jon must've left him really messed up.

Knowing Drew, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't let this go so easily. He's got an ego larger than the red sea. I could never get him to be honest or admit to his fault in any situation. That's pretty much why I didn't bother confronting him about the pictures. I already had a month to strike the bat on my broken heart before confirming what I already knew. I made sure I had an apartment ready before confronting him about all the texts and nude pictures on his laptop. The stupid idiot couldn't even change his password.

A month after finding those pictures, I left his keys by the door and placed the evidence of his betrayal on his kitchen counter. Also made a few damages to his KTM 1290 power bike. Knew that would hit a nerve cause he spent a fortune on that bike.

'I can't believe this, is he okay?'

'Why the hell would you be bothered about that asshole? He got what he deserved.'

'Is Jon alright?'

'Oh Yeah, he's alright.'

'I'll give him a call real soon.' I check the clock, I'm running late so the call would have to wait. 'Thanks, Viv.'
