KAYLA- 15. To the steakhouse

Gon stopped for gasoline and I kept silent the whole time.

While Retz is talking the whole time with Gon about the foods in Mr. Cocoa he's planning to order.

Yeah right.

" Uhhh Kayla. I'll hit the restroom real fast. Can I? " Gon looks at me and I sighed and nodded.

" Sure Gon. I'll be here waiting. " I smiled at him.

He went out.

Retz and I are alone.

I looked at her at the mirror and I see him watching Gon entering the restroom and he looks at me in the mirror too.

He looked away fast.

I smirked.

" Hey Retz. " I say.

" Yes Miss Kerr? "

" Are you having fun? "

" Huh? Uhh. Yeah. "

I smirked looked at him and smiled.

I caught him giving me a death glare but he changed it fast cause I looked at him.

I know. He hates me.

He's been giving that kind of looks for a long time now.

Well, should I worry?

The feeling is mutual.

" Uh. I have to hit the restroom too. " He said softly with a hint of anxiousness.

He opened the car.

" Sure. " I said. I didn't know if he heard it.

I looked at him going to the restroom.

Gon gets out and Retz ran to him.

Retz turned half way but didn't continue.

Gon puts his hand around Retz back and whispered something.

Gon gave Retz a thumbs up and Retz was moving his hands around freely.

Gon nods while Retz does that.

He patted Retz's back and walked back here.

" Kayla. " Gon gives me a strawberry milk.

" Oh? " I accepted it.

" I thought you might be thirsty. "

" Thanks " I said.

Gon looks at me like he wanted to ask a question.

I studied him.

He was startled a bit.

" So uhh. Why are you so silent suddenly? Is something wrong? " Gon asks worriedly.

( Gon's POV )

Kayla was silent the whole time and giving rasped sighs occasionally.

I was kinda worried if she's feeling sick or bushed, or she changed her mind about going out with me.

" No Gon. There's nothing wrong. " She says dully.

" Really? "

She smiled and puckered her lips at me.

She got near me and said " yeah " quite airy.

I smiled at her, and finally relaxed a bit.

Soon Retz came back.

" Sorry for the wait " He says. Kayla went back looking straight at the road and gave me an aura like 'don't talk to me'.

I sighed.
