It was thrilling yet frustrating at the same time. Whenever you hit rock bottom after losing to someone, it just feels like you had to do better, as if you were urged to do it again, but this time you can't lose.
Albeit, most of them never cared if they lost, all they were after was the satisfaction of playing a game. The satisfaction of having to bet – if not all their chips – their entire life just to gamble.
And that's exactly what they strived for – the excitement, the need, the adrenaline rush through their veins as their hearts throbbed from the emotions that get carried out every time they played.
It was an addiction.
Like a drug that contaminated their bodies, their minds, their way of survival.
Though to some students, money could be a problem, to representing families? Money was never a problem, and it should never be one, especially if you were on the top of the hierarchy.
