I finally woke up after just a few minutes with someone once again petting me, seriously I am not a dog- I am a wolf, grrrr. “Good it worked, that pain was the mind link setting in; sorry it can be painful for someone that hasn’t had one for so long.” –Now can you hear me? - He asked through the mind link, I shook my head yes, he chuckled – Okay, can you talk through it?-

-Sure, why? - I asked.

“Good, now what is your name?”  Alpha Corbin asked out loud.

-Lakyn-

“How long have you been on your own?”

-Well, I left on my 16th birthday and if you say I’m 21… then that makes it 5 yrs.-

“Lakyn, 5yrs is a long time for a rogue and a she-wolf at that… Have you been in wolf form the whole time?”

-Yep!-

“Why? What could possibly have made you run off and not even give a thought of shifting back?” Corbin whispered softly.

-I found my soul mate on my sweet sixteen; he was the soon-to-be alpha and also a very good friend of mine. Well, he rejected me but was nice about it. I accepted it and wished him and his girlfriend the best. It broke my best friend’s heart; he actually proclaimed his love to me. But I couldn’t keep him from his mate, so I left and found this crazy guy cussing at a tire, ha-ha- My wolf howled at the remembering the memories of her mate. They all looked as, but pity was not the emotion I wanted. I was a strong wolf, I needed no one. –Please don’t pity me; I am tough I have lasted this long without anyone. I just wish the best for him and everyone.-

“You are definitely one of a kind… So are you gonna shift so you can go in and eat a meal that you don’t have to catch. And don’t forget the showers!” Dawson said.

-How ‘bout I just stay in my wolf form and stay outside.-

“No, you need a shower and a warm bed… Come I’ll show you your room.” He replied while walking into the pack house and up the stairs to the third floor. I followed till we stopped and I accidently bumped into him. Stupid Beta.

-Sorry. - I mumbled.

“Your fine, now here is the room. I will go ask one of the females for some clothes or I will just grab some of mine for you to wear.” He opened the door to let me walk in, then shut it after I was in and staring at the large room. I shifted quickly and ran toward the large bathroom and locked it, I quickly stepped in the oversize shower and let the hot water cascade down my body before using the soap that was in there. I was a lavender vanilla my very favorite, partly because that is what my actually scent is.

After I was done with my lovely shower, gosh I have missed warm running water; I quickly toweled off and stuck my head out to make sure no one was there. I stepped out into the open room and shifted back to my wolf and jumped onto the king size bed. I was almost asleep when I heard a light knock before the door opened; I began to growl but stopped when I saw who it was.
