Chapter 10

We got to the house and Dally and I were still holding hands. I thought nothing of it until we had to break apart.

"Darry we're home!" I shouted and Darry came out of the bathroom in just a towel. Eliza's face went red.

"Oh I'm sooo sorry Liz"Darry said obviously embarrassed. She turned away and Noah covered his eyes.

"O-o-oh you're fine" Eliza stuttered. Darry looked at her and smiled.

"So how've you been Lizzy?"He said. She nervously laughed. "Or does everyone call you Elizabeth now" she nervously laughed.

"I've been good Darry, working to keep my son and I stable" she paused staring at him in the towel. There is something about the gang walking out of the bathroom finding a girl being there. It has happened more than once.

"Yeah I've been working a full time and part time to keep my siblings from going into a foster home." he smiled and she frowned.

"Oh yeah I'm sorry for what happened" she apologized.

"You're absolutely fine, you can't change the past" he smiled.

"Uh Dar you're still just in a towel" I reminded him.

"Oh shit my bad." he cursed and went to his room. We all laughed.

"Hey Lola why don't you and Noah go play in the backyard with the toys back there." I said. As soon as I said that they ran outside. I realized that Ponyboy, Rose, Johnny and Summer were all sitting in the living room. "Oh hey guys" they all said hey. Summer was in Johnny's lap and he was playing with her hair. Wait a- wait a damn minute. "Wait are y'all dating?" I asked. Summer's face went red and Johnny look confident and not sheepish.

"I asked her yesterday" Johnny smirked. Summer's face went redder. We all laughed and Darry came out of his room. He was wearing a muscle shirt with jeans. What he wears everyday but Eliza was practically drooling at the sight of him. I held back my laugh and looked at Soda. We were mentally talking to each other about what we should do. We decided to say that we should go to the dingo and not show up. I whispered the plan in Dally's ear and he smirked. Soda did the same to Simone. Eliza and Darry were talking so they weren't paying attention to us. I ran over to where Ponyboy and Rose were and told them the plan and Dally told Johnny and Summer.

"That sounds great and why do you have a black eye" Ponyboy asked. Rose slapped his arm. "Hey I have the right to know" I laughed and sighed.

"P Bob has been beating me since we started dating and Rose has been tending to my injuries" his eyes went wide "Last night he basically tried to rape me and he started to beat me in the lot. Luckily Dally was there to save me"he looked at me sympathetically. "Whatever you do don't tell Darry" I said.

"Too late for that Brooklyn Lyion Curtis" Darry sternly said. I turned around and my eyes went wide. "Why wouldn't you want me to know Brooke? You could've told me the first time it happened" he said tears brimming his eyes and caressing my face. i looked at him with glassy eyes.

"I'm sorry" I said while he hugged me. I hugged back and we tried and stopped ourselves from crying. Moments later we broke apart. The room was silent for a couple of minutes until Soda spoke up.

"Hey what if we all went to the Dingo?"he asked going on with the plan. Everyone agreed.

"Alright let me just go put on some actual clothes and we'll go" I said trying to hide the fact that I'm still wearing Dally's jacket. I was halfway to my room until Darry realized.

"Hey Brooke, whose jacket is that?" he asked.

"Oh um i-it's Dally's he gave it to me because I was cold and all I had one were shorts and a tank top." I explained. He looked relieved. I heard him talking to Dally but I couldn't hear the words. I got dressed in jeans, black chucks, a plain white tee tucked in and bloused out, with a red flannel. I grabbed my wallet and put in my back pocket. I grabbed Dally's jacket and went out to where everyone was. "Y'all ready?" I asked and gave the jacket back to Dallas. He smiled and we all walked out the door. We were probably half way there when I decided to make my excuse. "Shoot Dal we forgot to sign Lola up for daycare" I lied we already did. Lola got the message.

"Oh yeah come on Lola we gotta do that" Dallas said while stopping. "Sorry we'll see ya guys later." we waved goodbye and everyone else said goodbye.

"Momma can I go with them" Noah asked getting the message also. Damn these kids are smart.

"Um I guess if you want" she said confused of why he would want to go. He smiled and ran to hold my hand. I grabbed it and we looked like a family. We went to the direction of the house after they couldn't see us anymore. We got inside the house and Lola and Noah immediately went to play with the toys outside.

"God I love them like they're my own children" I said while smiling like an idiot looking in the direction of where they ran off to. I turned to Dally and he immediately kissed me. It caught me off guard but I kissed back. I got on his lap still kissing him. After a few moments we broke apart.

"Brooklyn, will you be my girl?" he never said my actual name unless he was serious. He stared at me. His eyes filled with that hidden emotion he always hides. Love.

"Of course I will Dallas" I said smiling like an idiot and kissing him. After a couple of minutes, he broke us apart and started to kiss my neck. I let out a shaky breath as he gave me a hickey. All of my brothers are gonna freak.Suddenly Simone and Soda burst through the door. Me and Dally both snapped our heads to the door. Soda's eyes went wide and stood there looking at my neck. Dallas just smirked while looking at him.

"Why you-" Soda said looking pissed. Simone jumped in front of Soda.

"Baby please don't please" Simone pleaded and his eyes softened. She turned around and I saw a hickey on her neck. I laughed and got off Dally's lap.

"Hey look we're matching" I pointed to her neck and she laughed.

"Yeah I guess so" she chuckled. Then we both looked at eachother and freaked.

"What is Steve gonna say?"Simone said while grabbing her hair.

"What the hell is Darry gonna say?"
