365 Days of Poetry (Part Three)

Day 107: Opened-Up the Door.

Always, you've been here to listen.
Each time my heart is feeling down.
A precious person I can turn to.
For a smile, when I frown.

You've known all the right words to say.
To help make my shattered soul feel glad.
In return, my love, I'll help you out too.
In times that you are feeling sad.

We've shared hardships, when we have not;
Seen exactly eye-to-eye...
And times we've both been so upset;
We almost said good-bye...

But I know this much is true, my love.
In my heart, I'll keep you forever more.
It's taken time to reach this point, but now;
You have finally opened-up the door.
