Eyes meet , then look away
Starry night ,we're both awake
Trying to fill the void
With music and tabloids
The party downtown
Was getting too loud
So we head that way to numb the pain
My head spinning
His hand upon my waist
She's nestled in your lap
as you're fading away
We are a thing of the past
and that is how it should stay
But stay, I want you to stay
take me far away
We let a match burn down a castle
and now forever away
It's not okay
I'm not okay
cold shoulder in the streets
Told your friends you hated me
but your eyes keep saying things
You can't look away
I can't look away
And our parents think we're fine
but we can't escape
From this maze we made
so we turn our gaze
And now he's pulling me close
She's closing a bedroom door
Yet you can't look away
and I can't look away
So we look away.
