Tales of a Titan

Chapter 1

It was 9.00am when I woke up from the nightmare, ever since my mom died, I've been having this strange dream re-living the day my mom died, anyway I was up thanks to the nightmare, that's when I noticed that the sun was up and was shining directly at my face, maybe that was because my bed was directly opposite my window, and we are in Los Angeles.

Anyway I got out of my bed and quickly glanced at Sonia's bed, Sonia is my best friend, I looked and she wasn't there, I think she's downstairs having breakfast, so I walked over to my bathroom and looked at the mirror, I looked at the person staring right back at me, I don't know why but I'm always surprised at my appearance, anyway I quickly brushed my teeth and took a shower, when I was done I quickly dressed up in my white sleeveless halter top, a pair of black leather jeans and a pair of black boots, did my hair and applied makeup, not much though, just the usual, black eye liner, powder and nude lip stick, I'm not you're average makeup girl and I was 20, actually I'm 19 going on 20, so technically I'm still a teenager, I suddenly had this strange fealing like I was forgetting something so I glanced at my calendar and I suddenly remembered, today was my first day at UCLA, just like Sonia, I'm studying Art then suddenly I got a text from Nia.

'Re, I hope you're all dressed up, I'm downstairs, so sorry I didn't wake you up it slipped my mind but in my defense it was 5. 00am when I woke up, anyway I'll be waiting for you in the driveway and hurry up ASAP.

I quickly did as Nia said, I grabbed my bag and my black leather jacket then I went downstairs, I didn't have time for breakfast since it was already 8.27am and school started by 10.00am, so I grabbed a granola bar and a soda which I know is unusual for breakfast but I didn't have a choice, I wanted to tell my dad I was leaving but when I went to his room he was gone he had already left for work , ever since the death of my mom, my dad and I hardly see each other, I thought he would stay an help me with my stuff to the university, it hurt a little but I couldn't be bothered by it now so I quickly grabbed my stuff and the keys to the house and then I left and joined Car in the driveway, she was already in her twilight fog colored Porsche.

'Re, you so don't know what 'ASAP' means'. said that with air quotes.

'Sorry Car, I had to check whether my dad was still in, I had to at least hope'. I said trying to sound strong.

'It's cool, just get get in my car and let's go'.

'I think I'd rather take my bike, oh and is all our luggage in the trunk of your car'. I said getting on my black motorcycle.

'Yes everything, now lets get a move on we're late.' Car said hopping in her car

I quickly did as she commanded, put on my helmet, started my engine and rode of. I looked back and Car did the same.
