ROSEANNE
With one hand inside the pocket of my blazer and the other pushed to my side, my feet carry me through the never-ending field of green with no destination in mind.
My journey was unknown.
Just like the answer to my question. One that had been circling around my head for a while.
My mind had been clouded with thoughts all day, all because of one boy.
One that I cared so deeply for.
He was the one that had brought me happiness in more ways than one.
And made me feel things that I have never felt with anyone else.
He was the stranger that wanted to meet me.
James was waiting for me to give him the final yes, and I always dismissed it.
I was hesitant about meeting him.
But it was more than just hesitation.
There was fear.
A fear that had been instigated by others.
A fear hot as fire.
One that seemed to overpower my desires.
But I couldn't deny the truth no matter how much I tried to hide it.
I wanted to meet him too.
To meet the boy responsible for these strange feelings.
The one that made me believe in happiness again.
He has been so nice to me, while I have been nothing but horrible to him.
So why did he want to meet me?
Why was he so persistent about it?
It wasn't just that, no.
His persistence went further than just curiosity.
There was something else, something that I couldn't pinpoint yet.
Who are you, James?
Who are you really?
Puffing out my cheeks, I grunt in frustration.
Everything was so confusing.
He made it confusing.
With a pout, I look down to the bright ground underneath me, strands of hair fall over my forehead and I bring a hand to push them away behind my ear.
