It was the first day of recording, and Jennie had been on a roll. She had found it quite easy to write and produce her own music. Of course, it took a toll on her having to record, and piece together a backtrack for the songs.

Within the first 25 minutes, she had pieced together two backtracks for the first two songs on her album. The goal was to finish recording 3 songs a day. She was on her way to the studio booth when she bumped into Taehyung.

"Oh my god! I'm soo sorry about that.", she said, cursing to herself internally. "It's fine.", he said. "We didn't properly meet, I'm Taehyung.", he introduced himself. "Genevieve, but most call me Jennie.", she spoke. He nodded.

"So..how has the recording been going?", he asked. Jennie thought about it for a moment, not sure if she wanted to tell him about how it had been tough working with Jisoo. "Um...it's been okay, I guess.", she answered. Taehyung looked at her like that wasn't what she wanted to say, but she shrugged it off.

"How has working with my former bandmates been?" "Uh, well, not exactly what I thought but they're chill...", he trailed off. She let out a small laugh. What he asked next caught her off guard. "Why did you leave the group?", he questioned. Jennie froze.

She didn't want to tell him the truth and possibly give him a bad impression on her or her former friends, but she couldn't just not answer. "Well, it was just a matter of time before I left. Fans had been wanting to see the other three shine, and...I guess I just thought if be better off on my own.", she answered him.

It wasn't a complete lie. Fans had been asking Jennie to leave the group because they felt she overshadowed the other members, while other fans wanted to see her flourish on her own because they felt she had potential to be a great solo star. She just left out the part about the fight.

Taehyung knew something else happened by the way she hesitated to tell him, but didn't want to push her. He looked at the girl before speaking. "Are you excited about your album?", he asked, changing the subject. She looked at him, her eyes lighting up.

"Um..actually, yes. I feel...pretty good with the songs I wrote.", she admitted. He smiled looking at the girl being happy. "You know, if we can meet up sometimes, I can help you take some pre-album photos that highlight the theme. Just to get your fans invested.", he suggested.

She looked up at the tall man. "Yeah, I'd like that.", their conversation was interrupted when Lisa came over. "Jennie, your manager needs you.", Lisa looked at the two of them, and was confused, but didn't have enough time to question it, as Jennie told the two of them their goodbyes, and walked away.

A/N: So, this chapter mainly focused on the developing friendship of Taehyung because we really haven't seen much of BTS in this book so I wanted to include them but yeah, they won't be involved in the book as much as they don't contribute as much to the change in Jennie's character except for Tae.

Anyways....I hope you guys liked this chapter! I'm trying to make them longer but they just seem shorter. Lmao
