The moment I plop onto my bed, I pull out my phone to text Yeri.

Me: Yeri, are you busy right now?

She's always on her phone, so it's no surprise that she responds right away.

Nope, what's up? :Yeri

Me: Do you wanna come over for a bit?

Sure, I'll be there in 20! :Yeri

20 minutes later...

A loud doorbell wakes me up from my twenty minute nap. Yeri's here.

I leave my room to go open the front door.

"What the hell are you wearing?"

She walked inside with thigh high boots and the shortest crop top and skirt I have ever seen. She usually acts like a hoe but never dresses like one.

"I have a date with Kyle tonight, I
wanna impress him."

"Damn girl, does he like sluts?"

"Hm, I guess we'll find out tonight!"

She unzips her thigh highs and places them by the shoe rack.

"So what's up? Why the sudden text?"

"I just need to get my mind off some
things. Figured you'd be great for that."

We head upstairs to my bedroom, where we chill for the next hour and a half.

Honestly, I just wanted to have some fun, so we blasted some Girls' Generation and danced like our life depended on it.

"YERI I LOVE YOU"

"I LOVE YOU TOO EM HAHAHA"

Dancing is hard for two girls who aren't very athletic. So it doesn't take long for us to get exhausted.

I turn off the music as we both fall onto my bed, heavily breathing.

"That.. *exhale* was so.. *exhale* FUN!"

We both laugh hysterically at how tired we are.

A couple minutes go by before we begin to catch our breath again. The room turns quieter and quieter.

"So, now that we danced it out, do you
wanna talk about it?"

"Ha, talk about what?"

Yeri sits up on the bed and looks at me with a worried expression.

"Emily, I'm not dumb. I can tell when
you're hiding something from me"

I sit up beside her and burry my face into my hands.

"Mark and my dad are working together
on some music they won't even tell me
about, and I'm scared my dad is gonna fuck things up again like he always does."

I stand up and start pacing back and forth again. That's the default thing I do when I'm scared.

"And it's not like I can do anything about
it without looking like a horrible
daughter and a girlfriend who
wants to ruin her boyfriends' career"
