The Power of Emotion**On Hold**

Setting out!

The sun just started coming up when the team started heading for then forest Lucy was talking about. Natsu and Happy were trailing behind constantly whining about having to get up so early in the morning. The rest of the team just rolled there eyes. Lucy was in the lead a little separated from the group her thoughts driving her close to insanity.

"Don't get attached"

"Agh Kiona! I get it!" Lucy shouted out loud the group stopped in there trek staring at the celestial mage.

"Luce?" Natsu said jogging toward her.

"Ah did Kiona tell you something?" Erza asked

Lucy just shook her head and continued walking ahead. Natsu and Happy now stayed close to her making sure she was okay. Finally arriving at the entrance of the forest everyone sighed waiting for Lucy's orders.

"We need to split up" Lucy said sternly. "Whoever you stayed in a room with is your group.." She paused for moment rethinking Kiona's words. "The forest splits off into 3 sections each group will go into one and try to find an exit out only one path has an exit to the forest so if your path has it just send out one of these" Lucy gave Erza, Gajeel and Herself a magic flare gun. It shoots out flares and makes a loud noise.

"Alright! Let's go guys!" Natsu exclaimed pulling Lucy and Bres arm. Lucy sighed

"Lucy told us this forest is dangerous so we need to keep an eye out" Erza said her Heart Kruez armor clanking. Wendy skipped beside her holding Carla in her hands. She was sweating like crazy. They all were it had to be around 90 degrees outside. So hot that if they just stood there they would break a sweat. Wendy sniffed the air something unusual lacing it.

"Wait!" Wendy shouted she sniffed again "I smell something! It's coming from over there!" She pointed her fingers to an area that was darkened by the shadows of trees. Gray slowly walked to the shadows but jumped back seeing a pair of yellow eyes. Gray back away towards the group but the 'thing' followed. Slithering closer revealing itself it lunged at Wendy but she jumped out of the way. Wendy got a good look at the 'thing'. It looked snake-like its scales glistening a brilliant orange it was about to lunge again, Wendy covered her face bracing for the razor sharp teeth to pierce her skin but it didn't. She looked up her eyes relived

"Arigato Erza.." Erza nodded her head turning back to the giant snake. Her sword didn't even make a scratch on the snake. Irrated, Erza lifted her sword slicing it several times before standing down. The snake backed down slithering back into the woods. Just when they thought they had won it lunged at Gray.

"Ice make: Shield!" The snake hissed and burned as it's skin touched the ice. Some of it's scales burned off in the process exposing its weak spots.

"Guys! Ice makes it's scales burn off!" Wendy shouted she was floating above the action carried by Carla. Gray looked at Erza and she nodded in approval.

"Ice make: Lance!" The lances pierced most of the scales off leaving the snake bare. Erza exlcaimed outloud as she ran her sword raised high. The snake didn't have time to react before Erza cut it in two.

"Good Job Erza!" Wendy shouted and gently landed to the ground.

"Thank you Wendy now, lets keep looking for an exit."

In the distance Natsu heard hissing noises they were very faint even for his enhanced hearing.

"Ice make: Lance"

Natsu chuckled slightly "Popsicle is probably getting himself beat up right now"

A few minutes later they were near a small stream that they had to cross. Natsu offered to carry Lucy over but she refused to let him carry her. The entire walk through the woods she kept her distance from him. She couldn't get into any sort of relationship with him or else it might mess with her emotions.

"Natsu.." Bre murmured her eyes filled with worry. "Why won't Lucy-nee talk to me? Did I do something wrong?" Natsu looked over his shoulder golden locks reflecting in his eyes. He was wondering himself what was wrong with her. Just last night she was crying begging him not to die.

"Nah Bre don't worry about it! Lucy just likes to be by herself sometimes! But you still got me and Happy!" Bre looked up and smiled taking his hand.

Lucy listened to their conversastion tears forming in her eyes. A little family.. She wished to join them but until this entire bracelet thing is over she can't get more attatched than she already is. She just sped her pace a little more.

"Luce, stop I smell something" Natsu said sniffing the air. Lucy scooted back toward Bre taking her hand in hers pulling her closer. She knew Natsu's nose was rarely wrong.. And thats what always terrified her. Natsu went closer to where the scent was coming from it was very familiar. Uh oh Natsu thought.

"Lucy..Stay back" Natsu growled his fist clenched but a small smirk on his face " We need to finish what we started Usani.
