the boy in yellow didn't reach out to him at all on saturday.
yamaguchi had gone over to tsukishima's for the day, trying to get his mind off of what happened last night. after everything sunk in, the boy had woken up in a cold sweat at seven am. texting tsukishima, he was out of his house by eight thirty am.
it wasn't that he was scared of all the possibilities of what could've happened because of the brawl; it was just flashbacks. it wasn't uncommon for yamaguchi to end up on his ass from bullies in elementary, and even though tsukishima was there as his best friend for most of it, the bullies came when tsukishima left.
yamaguchi had ended up getting through it all, tsukishima and his family there to help him. karasuno helped too, and he wasn't bullied anyone—if you ignore friendly teasing—, but those mental scars were still there.
so, at tsukishima's, the two friends settled in under blankets and watched all three jurassic parks. even though the blond insisted that yamaguchi pick the movie, the olive-haired boy still picked tsukishima's favorite.
the skyscraper himself wasn't so affected by the brawl. he only had a bruise or two on his hands after beating the shit out of the baseball captain, handing him over to the police when they arrived. tsukishima himself was quickly questioned, but got off the hook easily.
yamaguchi had no injures either, but terushima and his own wounds never left his mind for a second. he checked his phone every ten minutes until tsukishima pulled it away from him. saying it was better to not fret, the younger reluctantly agreed before burying himself in the blankets again.
by the end of the good dinosaur, it was dinner time; mrs tsukishima provided sushi, and the two ate in silence and in tears as they watched the final scenes of the disney movie.
"god damn it why are they always so sad," yamaguchi murmurs, putting a roll in his mouth as his watery tears clouded his vision. tsukishima sniffles in agreement, dipping a roll in soy sauce before eating it.
after eating and that movie, the pair moved onto monsters inc and monsters university. yamaguchi had already decided to sleep over, so they didn't care how far into the night they went with watching movies. they needed a lazy day with their hectic and demanding lives.

the two had fallen asleep by three am, passing out on tsukishima's bed in the middle of pacific rim. when morning rolled around, yamaguchi waved his friend goodbye as he climbed into his father's car once again before they left.
"did that help?" mr yamaguchi asks softly, glancing at his son before his eyes were back on the road. yamaguchi hums in thought before nodding. "well, that's good. mr terushima called not too long ago."
yamaguchi looks up immediately, eyes slightly widened. he earned a chuckle from his father. "relax, everything's okay. yuuji has a shiner and chipped a tooth. they're going to get that checked out today. he might be a little high from the medication, but mr terushima said that he is going to call you tonight."
yamaguchi leans back into his chair, exhaling a sigh of relief. mr yamaguchi's shoulders shake with a laugh. "thank yourself, tadashi. i doubt if that captain had him any longer that the injuries would be so minimal as they are currently."
the boy nods vigorously. "yeah, definitely," is all he said, his gaze returning to watch the scenery of miyagi pass by. his fingers fiddled with his phone on his lap.

for the remainder of sunday, yamaguchi hung out inside his house, playing with his dog or finishing over the weekend home work. his parents had their own work to take care of, but he didn't really mind it.
