You and me in the long years
Unspeakable grief forming within
Desperately trying to fill the void
That you deserved to have
You and me in the long years
Dreams are formed,
Promises are made,
But the heart felt something amiss.
You and me in the long years,
Fighting battles no one knew
Barriers slowly pulling us apart.
Is joy far from our reach?
You and me in the long years,
You, a shade of different race
I, a shade of another,
Yet does shades really matter?
You and me in the long years
And just when my heart finally beats for you,
You had fallen in the battle,
Now, I'm left alone, broken.
You and me in the long years
You, the answers I found
I, who will bleed for you
You,The answer I lost
