I used to love that smile
showing upon that beloved face
I used to love those arms
that wrapped me in it's embrace.
Now, it breaks me to remember
Those gentle smiles on you face
Now, whenever I see your reminder
My heart breaks into an exhausting race
I used to giggle
at those silly memories we made
I used to snuggle
comfortably in my bed
Now, I could only mourn
For those memories we buried.
Now, I could only weep
Silently in midnight on my bed.
I used to listen
In everything you say
I used to sing
some love songs everyday
Now, I could hardly trust anyone
now that you're gone.
Now, I could only scream
the sorrows of the heart in pain
I used to believe in love
but now, I'm done dreaming about love.
I used to believe in us
but now, I no longer
trust the one who used to be
my epitome of truth.
