Miko woke up with the sound of something mechanical whirring to life. She warily rubbed her eyes open and sat up, pushing the blanket that covered her off of her shoulders. A quick glance to the kitchen told her that Aizawa was making coffee, blearily rubbing his eyes. He looked at her.
"Morning, Miko."
She stretched her arms into the air, her wings stretching out as well, before yawning and giving her response. "G-Good morning, Mr. Aizawa. What time is it?" Aizawa glanced at the clock before returning his attention to the coffee pot, carefully removing it from the maker and pouring himself a large cup full of the pure caffeine.
"It's seven. I have to go to work in a few minutes, and you'll be coming with me." He looked at her clothes with slightly narrowed eyes. "I had a friend come and bring you different clothes, because it's not school-appropriate to wear a shirt three times your size and boxers that go down to your knees." Aizawa pointed to the bathroom. "There's an outfit in there on the counter." As Miko stood, Aizawa continued, almost like an afterthought, "And please don't get into my shaving cream again."
With a slight giggle, Miko nodded and went into the bathroom, quickly changing into a light, pastel blue long-sleeved shirt and a pastel pink skirt, black leggings beneath that. After changing, she wandered back into the kitchen, where Aizawa was finishing slipping on his boots, leaning down against the wall. He stood back up straight, motioning Miko to follow him out the door. They walked down the hall, into the elevator, and out onto the sidewalk, Miko gripping his hand as they walked. Aizawa had to bend over slightly to reach her, but his blank face didn't display any amount of discomfort from his position.
Aizawa pointed to the H- shaped building on the hill that was in the distance. "Do you see that building, Miko?", he asked. She looked up at the building before nodding quickly. Aizawa continued. "That's where I work."
Miko seemed confused. "I-I thought you worked as a hero..?"
He smirked slightly as they walked. "I'm a hero and a teacher. It's my job to teach the next generation of heroes. You're gonna meet some of my co-workers when we get there." Miko hummed with a nod, her grip on his hand tightening slightly. Aizawa glanced down with a slight smile. "Don't worry, Miko. They're nice enough people that I consider as friends.", he said. His voice was monotone as ever, but Miko felt comforted either way.
She looked up at him with a curious look. "You have friends?"
Aizawa decided to ignore his insulted ego and nodded with a sigh. "One of them is the one that got you those clothes, the other one was the one I called when I first picked you up." With that, Miko felt a little bit of excitement. She'd finally be able to meet the loud guy!
Miko felt a small, timid smile melt onto her face. "I-I'm excited...", she said, using the tip of her tail to hide her face. Aizawa chuckled slightly.
