kio had just left leaving me at home with my dad. Kio didn't want to leave me because he knew he was my best friend but I didn't want to stop him from following his dream. Kio was also scared by my dad. My dad used to be an alcoholic but he has been clear for a few months now.
I was in my room when I heard a smash. It sounded like glass and then I heard my dad scream my name. Loud footsteps echoed down the hallway to my door and I knew what was about to happen I quickly called the police and they were on their way and then I called kio. he also protected me when my dad tried to hurt me but this time he couldn't. I ran to my door and locked it. I then ran into the bathroom connected to my room and hid. It didn't have a lock which scared me. my dad finally got the door to my room opened and flung the bathroom door open. He grabbed my arm and pushed me to the ground. He started yelling at me and punching me. I closed my eyes to try to stop the pain I was in but then finally my arm was let go of. The police grabbed my dad and arrested him. I just laid there the whole night in a pool of tears. I couldn't move.
the next day
I woke up on the floor remembering what had happened. I called kio and he told me he booked me a flight to la to come and stay with him for a bit. I suddenly felt better I was living this shithole behind me and moving on. I didn't have many friends so I didn't have to say bye to anyone I just had to pack a bag and leave. packing was easy as I didn't really have many clothes. I got and Uber to the airport and got on my flight to LA
