Rantaro and Shuichi had met a year ago and have been dating since. But, there was only one problem in their relationship. Their distance. Well you see, Shuichi lived all the way in Arizona. While Rantaro lived all the way in Japan. It was about 5 thousand miles away from each other. Though, they didn't let such distance keep them both apart. They'd text and call every single day and it never stopped. But today.. a lot of things would change

It was 2 days to be Shuichi's birthday and Rantaro was gonna surprise Shuichi by seeing him again. The last time they saw each other was when they first started dating. Then, Rantaro had to move away, and they never saw each other since. But today was gonna be a special day. Rantaro already had everything planned. Rantaro had talked with Shuichi's friend, Kaede, about the plan

Kaede had asked Shuichi if would be free for a whole week and if she could stay over. Which he said yes to. But the thing was, Kaede wasn't staying over. It was Rantaro, instead. It was 2 days before Shuichi's birthday so Rantaro had to work hard

The greenette had woke up a bit early than he was used to. It was around 4 in the morning and he had to get ready to meet Shuichi. Sure, he was tired, but he could deal with it. His flight was in an hour. Good this he was already packed.

The Greenette had gotten out of bed and getting ready for the day. He couldn't wait to see Shuichi for the first time in.. Literally forever! Rantaro gave himself a smile "I can't wait for you, Shuichi Saihara.."

A couple of hours passed and it was time for Rantaro's flight. As he got on, he was prayically shaking. Yeah, it hadn't been his first-time flying around, he was nervous about the whole plan. What if Shuichi didn't wanna see Rantaro? What if Shuichi was with someone else? Nonsense. Rantaro rejected those questions. He wasn't gonna let some questions ruin his day. It was gonna be a long trip, but Rantaro didn't care.

The plane lifted into the air and soon took off. This was gonna be a long 12 hour trip. But who cares? Not Rantaro, of courses

Hours and Hours went by. It wasn't that late and the trip was only a couple hours long "4 more hours to go.." Rantaro said to himself with a smile. More hours had passed and it was finally time to get off

Rantaro had gotten off the plane when he was greeted by Kaede. Giving each other a hug and Kaede started to speak "I can't believe you came, Amami-Kun! Saihara-Kun will be so excited to see you!" The blonde girl said with a smile "Im excited to see him too. It's been forever since I've last saw you guys in person." Rantaro said with a chuckle

After leaving the airport, the two friends had arrived to Kaede's place, which is where Rantaro will stay until Shuichi's birthday. It was a Sunday night already. Rantaro couldn't wait. The 2 days only felt like centuries.. Then, out of no where, Rantaro got a text from Shuichi

check up on you. How are you doing?

Nothing much, Love. How are you doing?

Nothing really special. I just wanted to see how you were doing? Can't believe it's almost my birthday.

I can't wait to celebrate it soon! I'm sure you'll have a great time

Yeah. Me and Kaede we're gonna spend the meet together doing a lot of things. I really wish you were here, Rantaro. We could have a lot of fun!

I wish I was there too, hon. But, ya know. Gotta stay over here.

I know that.. Well, hope you have a good day! Goodnight, love.

Rantaro let out a sigh. He kinda felt bad for lying to Shuichi.. But, he didn't really have much of a choice. He put his phone and drifted off to sleep

As the next day rolled around, Rantaro and Kaede were just hanging out and being themselves. They avoided Shuichi most of the day. It hurt them both, but tomorrow was really gonna special. Rantaro had gotten Shuichi a lot of things he'd enjoy

A couple hours had pasted and it was getting late again. Once again, Rantaro was texting Shuichi. Mostly talking about tomorrow and Celebrate Shuichi's birthday. After some time, Shuichi had went to bed. Tomorrow was gonna be a day, wasn't it?

As the day came around. It was finally Shuichi's birthday. Mostly everyone came. Kaede, Kaito, Maki, Kiibo, and Kokichi. As they were talking, there was a knock on the door. Kaede suddenly rushed up with a cheer "Saihara-Kun! Your birthday present just came! Now, close your eyes." Kaede instructed. Shuichi looked confused as Kaede ran to the door

Once the door was opened and Rantaro peaked inside. He looked over at Shuichi with a smile, but didn't say anything

"Shuichi, your eyes clothes?" Kaede said. Shuichi only nodded. Kaede led Rantaro over behind Shuichi "Ok! Open your eyeeess." Kaede said with a cheer. Shuichi eyes opened. He looked around clueless "Where.." Shuichi was cut off by Rantaro giving him a kiss on the cheek "Happy birthday, Saihara!" Rantaro said with a chuckle. Shuichi's eyes widen at the sight of Rantaro. His instant reaction of wrapping his arms around Rantaro tightly

Everyone in the room looked at the two with awe. Rantaro locked eyes with Shuichi's as their  lips touching each other's. Rantaro pulled away with a chuckle "Come in, Shuichi. Let's celebrate this birthday party!" Rantaro said with a smile, which Shuichi, and everyone else nodded

As the party went on, it was time for the cake. Kaede had made it all herself. As Shuichi made his wish, he blew out his candles with a smile "What did Saihara-Chan wish fooorr? Huh!" Kokichi yelled out. Shuichi only rolled his eyes "It's not a wish if I told you, Kokichi. Though, you might know already.." Shuichi said with a soft chuckled.

"By the way, Shuichi. I won't be staying over for the week. Rantaro is!" Kaede said with a smile, which made Shuichi even more happy.

As everyone started leaving, Shuichi and Rantaro were left alone. The two were left alone, sitting with each other outside, looking up at the stars. Shuichi sat on Rantaro's lap with his arms around him

"I wasn't expecting you to come, Rantaro.." Shuichi said soft "Well, surprise surprise. I'm here for a whole week. Just you and me. Together." Rantaro said with a smile, giving Shuichi a kiss on the cheek

As the week went on, Rantaro and Shuichi had fun. They talked about things, gave each other lots of love, went to a couple places, and even went on a date. It was a magical time for the both of them, but of course. It would end eventually

As drove to the airport, Shuichi was sitting with Rantaro, wanting to make the last couple of their moments together ever forgetful.. after they arrived at the airport. They waited for a while before Rantaro had to leave

Shuichi stood up, looking up and Rantaro. His face starting to tear. Rantaro frowned and hugged Shuichi tightly "Don't worry, Shuichi. I probably, I'll come see you more often! Don't cry, ok?" Rantaro said softly, which Shuichi responded with a nod

As Rantaro pulled away, he kissed Shuichi on the lips one last time before he walked off and walked off into a distance

Shuichi watched as Rantaro walked off, then turned to Kaede. The two friends walked off to the car. They were silent for a second, until Kaede spoke

"Don't worry, Shuichi. You heard him. You'll see him soon. And he'll stay for even longer!" Kaede said with a smile

"Yeah.. I will.. one day.."
