chapter 18

Tessa

"Does this look fine?"I looked over to him on his side of the closet.He walked up to me and stood behind my short frame.

"You look perfect love" he said placing a short kiss on my shoulder.Apparently Allan's dad had invited us over to his house for dinner.

(My wife and I would love to invite you for a family dinner Friday 6.00pm.Its time I finally met the soon to be mother and the girl who has my son whipped of his feet)

That is what was written on the invitation card.I was honestly scared.Allan kept reassuring me that everything will be fine but I couldn't help it.

Allan::"you ready"
"I guess so"
Allan::"my parents will love you.who wouldn't. But there is something missing "
"What?"

"This "
He said placing a longing kiss on my lips.Ever since I became his girlfriend, a week ago,the kisses just hit diffrent.I could feel the heat burning up like an inferno in between my legs and the cold chills down my spine everytime we kissed.The fact he liked kissing me made it a whole lot worse.

***dinner ***

Allan::"Just relax "
He said as we walked through the hallways of their home towards the dinning area.but we were stopped midway by a person who I believed to be his dad.The resemblance between them at its finest.

Mr king::"son"
He pulled him into a short hug.He then turned his attention to me studying with his glare to the depth of my soul.

Mr king::"my son is right about one thing,you are beautiful."

That got me off guard but I quickly regained myself.

Mr king::"Tessa correct?"
"Yes it's a pleasure to meet you mr king" I said shaking his hand."

Mr king::"you can call me Darius or Dad whichever works for you."

"Dad sounds better" It would be really weird if I called him by his first name.

"Welcome to the family tess" he said leading us to the dining area where I met his mum"

They hugged for sometime and he seemed to be comforting her or something.she soon turned her attention to me and gave me a very bone crushing motherly hug.

It was so good it almost had me in tears .
We had our dinner and talked about me ,my goals ,the child etc.

It was a small but lovely family. And I was happy to be apart of it.

I was currently sitted on the bed reading a small magazine on kids and parenting when allan joined me.

Allan::" so did you love the dinner"

"Yes your parents are such wonderful people.and your mum is so beautiful "

Allan::" They can be good when they want to "
"What do you mean by that"

I told her.I told her about how unloved I felt everytime my mum pushed me to be with molly.I told her how I played and toyed with other girls just to feel some love.
She didn't judge me or shout at me for being a man whore she listen to me and everything I said.

Tessa::"Hey you dont have to carry all that burden anymore.You were hurting and at a low point In life.The fact that you rose and grew into a better version of yourself is prove enough that you have passed and overcome.Everysingle person has their own share of mistakes, you have them too,I have them too,and it doesn't matter how ugly your mistakes are,what matters is how hard you work to improve and correct those mistakes."

She just knew what to say and when to say it.And that made me love her even more.I had stopped denying my love for her when I realized it was useless trying to suppress it.I allowed myself to fall deeply and madly over her.

"Have you ever had a low point in life?"

Tess::"yes.when my mum died.I think I've never felt such pain and loneliness like I felt that day.I had lost the only person i had and it broke me.But soon I learned to live with it,found a new normal.I made a decision that I wouldn't allow anyone close to me.Because I would get attached and they would leave just like she had.

That's why I always kept to myself in school, minding my business.Then I woke up in your bed and everything changed"

"You are such a strong,smart,determined and beautiful lady.I dont think I would have survived it if I was in your shoes"

"I guess I just convinced myself my mum would have wanted me to move on and I did."
