Chapter 4: The Weekend

It was Saturday morning, and Luigi was woken up by Booigi. "Luigi, your dad has a surprise for you." Luigi opened up his eyes.

"A surprise?" Booigi smiled. "Yup! Get dressed and come to the kitchen." "Okay, Booigi." Luigi got outta bed and picked out his clothes for today. Booigi left to wait for him in the kitchen.

Once Luigi was dressed, he rushed down to the kitchen. "Booigi! King Dad! I'm here!" He announced in the kitchen.

"Good morning, son! We have a visitor!" King Boo told him. "Really?! Who is it?" Luigi was excited.

"Heya, Luigi!" Mario hugged Luigi from behind. "Ah! Mario!?" Mario giggled. Luigi was surprised. "King Toolstood told me how you and Mario are getting along, and how great friends you two have become. So, I decided to invite him over for you two to have a play day."

"Thank you, King Dad!" Luigi was really happy. "You're welcome, son." King Boo smiled. "So, what's for breakfast?" Luigi asked. "Scrambled eggs with bacon and toast." "That sounds yummy!"

King Boo chuckled. He then picked both of Luigi and Mario up and held both of them in his embrace. They ate breakfast together.

After breakfast, Luigi and Mario went up to Luigi's play room and played together. They played many games together, like pirates, heros, Kings, some card games, and much more.

The afternoon came and it was lunch time. Luigi and Mario went into the kitchen to find King Boo making grill cheese sandwiches for lunch.

They ate lunch together and told King Boo about their games they've been playing. King Boo smiled and listened. "Sounds like you two are having fun together," he said happily.

"We are! Thank you for inviting Mario over!" King Boo chuckled. "You're welcome, son."

After lunch, Luigi and Mario continued playing together for the rest of the day. While they were playing, King Boo got a phone call from the police station.

"King Boo, we some information about Luigi we'd like to share with you." "What is it?" "Luigi has a biological older brother named Mario. They were separated after the death of their mother."

King Boo was surprised. He didn't know Luigi had a brother. He especially didn't know it was Mario. It could be the reason why they get along so well.

"Wow... I'm surprised..." "We understand that this is shocking news to you. But that's not the only thing we have to tell you..." "What is it...?"

"This isn't easy for us to tell you, and we know this isn't easy for you, either, but... Luigi must be with his brother." King Boo was slightly confused. "Mario's over here, with Luigi right now, though."

"That's not what I meant. They must be together, living together." "What do you mean?" "I'm sorry, but Luigi has to live with King Toolstood."

That news broke King Boo's heart. He didn't want to give up on Luigi, especially knowing that he needed him. He felt himself about to cry.

"I understand, officer... I'll let him know..." "Good. Have a good day." He hung up. He started to cry.

While he was crying, Booigi came in. "Sir... What's wrong...?" King Boo looked up at Booigi with tears in his eyes. "The police station called and... Luigi's moving into King Toolstood..."

Booigi didn't like the news either. "What? Why?!" "Because Luigi has an older brother who's living there..." "Mario?" "Yes..."

Booigi sighed. "I'll tell him..." Booigi left to tell Luigi about the news.

After Luigi and Mario heard the news, they were happy and excited at first, but the Luigi became upset.

"Wait... I'm not living here anymore? King Boo isn't gonna be King Dad anymore?" Luigi felt like he was gonna cry. "I'm sorry, Luigi..." Booigi told him.

"Sir! Are you okay?!" Booigi asked King Boo for who knows how many times. "Huh?! What?!" King Boo quickly rose his head up from the table.

"Was all of that was just a dream... A nightmare?" King Boo thought to himself. "What happened...?" He asked Booigi. "You were crying in your sleep, mumbling something about Luigi and Mario..."

"Oh... I'm sorry... I had a nightmare..." "Was it about Luigi and Mario again?" "Yeah..." "About Luigi having to living with King Toolstood?" "Yeah..."

King Boo has been getting nightmares about loosing Luigi recently, since the first day of school. He deeply didn't want to loose his own son.

Booigi comforted King Boo. "It's gonna be okay, sir. Luigi's gonna be here with us..." King Boo hugged him. Booigi hugged him back.

Meanwhile, Luigi and Mario were spying on them. "Your dad gets nightmares about us...?" Mario asked Luigi. "Sounds like it..." "It also sounds like he's scared of loosing you..." "Yeah..."

Luigi felt responsible for scaring his dad like this. He didn't want to scare him. He loved him. He was the one who took him in when no one else would.

"Mario...?" "Yes, Luigi?" "Do you think my dad is scared of loosing me because I'm not a Boo...?" "No... I don't think that. I think it's a parent's thing, always worrying about their kids no matter what."

Luigi sighed. He was getting thoughts and ideas, but none of them are happy ones...
