Chapter 7: School with King Boo

(idk what else to call it. Basically, we go through a school day with both Luigi and King Boo.)

Luigi's school so far as been pretty boring, as usual. But then lunch came around.

Luigi doesn't really have a place to sit, so he usually eat his lunch while sitting on the floor.

"Wouldn't chairs be a bit more comfortable?" He heard his dad in his mind. "Usually I don't have a place to sit. Kids are normally rude. So I'd end up sitting on the floor to avoid the chaos," Luigi explained to his dad.

After he finished eating lunch, he was a bit bored, since he already got his homework done that he got so far. He got out his sketch book and just doodling some Boos in it.

King Boo watched him. "Wow. I didn't know you draw this good." "Thanks..." Luigi slightly blushed outta embarrassment. "No one is hearing me. Why are you embarrassed?" "Well... I uhh..." His face turned red.

"We're at school!" Luigi told him. King Boo was still confused about Luigi's logic, but decided not to continue to question it. Luigi calmed down some and continued to doodle.

He then thought of Mario. He started to draw him and himself with him. He felt his heart breaking as he does so. He then felt his dad comforting him.

"I know you miss him. I do, too." Luigi slightly nodded. He realized that he was shedding tears and wiped his eyes.

One of Luigi's bullies saw Luigi. "Hey, look who it is! Luigi, the human! When are you gonna stop calling yourself the prince of the Boos, liar?!!" They yelled at him.

"Please stop... Just... Stop..." They didn't. "Oh, you're drawing in your book again? Lemme see!!" They snatched it from Luigi.

"Stop! Give it back!! Please!!" He tried to get his sketch book back, but couldn't. "You know what, kid? I think this belongs into the trash!!" They yelled at him.

Luigi was shedding tears at this point. "He told you to stop, kid," King Boo said to them. Luigi's bully was confused.

"Since when your voice was deep...?" They asked him. "Since you didn't stop when he told you to stop!" King Boo showed himself, behind Luigi.

The bully saw King Boo. They had a terrified look on their face. "You're... You're King Boo!!" "Yes, I am. And I believe that you have something that belongs to my son!"

The bully gave Luigi his sketch book back and made a run for it. King Boo was about to go after them when Luigi stopped him.

"Don't... Please... That was enough... Let them be..." Luigi told his dad. "Aren't they one of the kids that been giving you problems?" "Yes, but I think you scaring them is enough... I know they probably deserve it, but I don't want anyone to get hurt, no matter who they are..."

King Boo listened to his son. "Okay. I understand. But they continue, there won't be any mercy next time." "Okay... Thank you..." Luigi hugged him. King Boo hugged him back.

Meanwhile, everyone else saw the whole scene. All of the kids were terrified of Luigi, wouldn't dare to hurt him the way they been anymore. And the teachers and staffs were like, "Yeah that happens. Just another day."

The rest of the school went smoothly, went boring. But in Luigi's last class, though, there was a shy kid who started to talk to Luigi.

"Hey... You're Luigi, right?" Luigi looked at them. "Uhh yes, I am..." "Oh good it's Luigi... Uhh I mean I'm Jason... It's nice to meet you..."

"Nice to meet you too, Jason." Things got awkwardly quiet. "I uhh... I saw what happened at lunch today... And uhh... I have to be honest... I thought you were getting so much attention because you were popular or have so many friends... I didn't know that you being bullied this whole time...

"I wanted to say something... I wanted to go up to you and talk... But I couldn't get myself to do it...

"But I saw you with King Boo... Well your dad... I was actually amazed... I was a little scared, though...

"But I thought it was cool to see that you have a dad... My dad... He uhh... Well... He wasn't the best at taking care of me... And my mom... Well... She always blames me on every single thing, no matter what it is...

"Kids around here aren't exactly making my situation any better... I thought I was the only one...

"Uhh I've been rambling too much, wasn't I? Sorry..."

"It's okay, Jason... And I'm sorry for what you have to go through..." "Thank you... Thank you for being so nice to me..." "You're welcome."

"I know this is all of sudden... But... I was wondering if... You would like to go on a date with me?" Jason asked Luigi.

"Uhh..." Luigi didn't know what to say. "Why's he asking me out all of sudden? We just met!" He told King Boo in his mind. "I'm not sure... This is really all of sudden." "I can't say yes to that..." "If you don't feel comfortable about it, then you don't have to date him." "Okay, Dad."

"So... Luigi... Your answer...?" Jason asked him. "I... I'm sorry... But I can't... We literally just met... And I wanna try to be friends first..." "Oh... That's okay, I understand... Sorry for asking you so suddenly..." "It's okay."

School day was over and Luigi was on his way home.

"That was really strange," Luigi told his dad. "About Jason?" "Yeah... Him asking me to date him like that all of sudden... That seems specious..." "It does... Would you like me to continue to be at school with you?" Luigi nodded. "Yeah... Please...?" "Of course, son. You don't have to be alone anymore." Luigi smiled.
