so, you've been letting him go for years.
you've been letting her go for months.
but why do I still remember 'til it hurts me?
you asked yourself, hoping it'll be over,
but it's like... it's never been over.
so, i try to see right through you,
trying to find what you have missed,
and, there, there it is,
i see it:
you've been letting him go. you've been letting her go,
but you never let go of the hopes.
you're still waiting for the call like i miss you, the sincere apology, the last goodbye, the beautiful, peaceful closure.
it's like...
you let him go just so he can come back to you.
you let her go just so she can come back to you.
i know
you used to be so happy with him. you used to be so happy with here.
but your happiness shouldn't revolve around him or her.
there's better happiness out there,
that you're so scared to step on,
and I guess it's time to take your first step.
if you're not taking your first step,
i'm worried if you'll forever be trapped in this situation.
and, your first step should be...
letting go.
let go of all the hopes.
let go of the little wishes of hi, how are you.
let go of the waiting for the apology and goodbye.
the better happiness is waiting for you out there
if you really let go.
