Chapter 8: Spelunking

"Wake up sleepy head, we're almost there."

Upon hearing Josh' voice I instantly woke up. We've been on the road for only 30 minutes yet somehow I managed to fall asleep again. Can't tell if its because of the jetlag or the fact that our tour guide's voice sounded like a lullaby to me.

Josh was sitting next to me. He looked so eager to explore. We both are actually. After all, it is our first time to do some spelunking. Another activity to cross of our bucket list.

"You ready babe?" He asked.

"For you, always." I replied with a kiss. Being the playful guy that he is, he bagan to place his hands under my shirt. I quickly stopped him.

"Not now. We can do this later when we're alone okay?"

"Pfft fine. Though I can't guarantee I'll be gentle." He replied with a smirk.

I simply rolled my eyes. Typical Josh.

"Hello everyone! We're here! Make sure you're all wearing protective gears before we can begin our spelunking. I'll meet you all at the entrance in 15 minutes."

"You heard the man, lets gear up."

As soon as we were finished gearing up we headed to the entrance to meet with the others. Our tour guide made a headcount first before he began his brief explanation.

"Okay now that we're all complete, once again hello everyone. Welcome to The Virgin's Nest. The reason for this name is because just like a you-know-who, only a few people have been to this place. In fact, you guys are the second batch I've brought here. Anyway, hope you have a lot of fun exploring. Contact us immediately if anything happens. Until then, happy exploring!"

"Where to my lady?"

I winked at him. "Anywhere as long as I'm with you."

While the others began exploring on the left, Josh and I decided to explore the opposite side. Halfway thru I halted.

"You okay? Should we stop for awhile or?"

I shake my head. "Everything's fine. I was just thinking if it was a good idea to separate from the group."

"Do you want to head back?"

"Nah. Like I said, everything's fine. Besides, I have you to protect me."

"...You do realize we're alone right? Do you think we can sneak in a few minutes?"

"Ugh. Fine. Five minutes it is. No more no less. But please don't make any loud noises. Remember what happened last time?"

He laughed. "Yeah I remember. Next time we'll lock the door."

And so we began our love making. The cave grounds were pretty slippery so I held on to Josh real tight. We barely made it into 5 mins when I suddenly told him to stop.

"What is it? Am I being too rough?"

"No you're fine. I think I just heard someone scream."

"Well the only one who should be screaming is you, if you know what I mean."

"This is serious Josh. What if someone needs our help? We should go check it out."

"Alright. But stay close to me okay? I can't afford to lose you."

I gave him a reassuring smile as I squeezed his hands tight.

The tour guide mentioned earlier that a lot of the Virgin's Nest is still unexplored. And the mere thought of it scares me. What if we got lost here? What if no one rescues us?
