Her Again!?

It's been about a week since you've met Kate and so far...you've been avoiding her, not because you don't like her, you do kind of like her in a friendly way, it's just that she can be awfully scary and....strange, after you heard her in your head, you were confused but amazed that she's able to do that

It was the weekend as you walked downtown just for getting fresh air, it was the afternoon so it was hot outside
At the corner of your eye, you saw the park where there's a Taco truck and kids were there buying stuff

You decided to go over and get something because you were quite hungry and you forgot to eat lunch
The line wasn't long at all as you head to the back

It was nice until you heard

"Well hello-ello-ello Kate! Katealia! The one herself!" The Burrito guy said who was serving...KATE!?, On god

Kate looked kind of annoyed
"Shut up, Stuart, not so loud" she muttered the last part at him

"Right, sorry, the usual?" The guy whose name is supposedly Stuart asked Kate

Kate nodded
"Yep" she handed him money as Stuart went back into the truck

Kate then leaned on the truck as she waited, you were sweating
'don't spot me, don't spot me don't spot me don't spot me' you repeated in your head

"I already spotted you" kate said as she turned her head to you, you squeaked
"H-how!?" You basically exclaimed as kate giggled
"I told you, I have a thing for these stuff" she smirked then turned to the small window
"Hey, Stuart! Make that two burritos!" Kate called at Stuart then kate looked at you and gestured you to come to her

You were a bit hesitant but you slowly walked over to her
"Y/n, right?" She asked, you gulped and nodded
"Great to see you" she smiled

You nodded, you don't know what to say
Kate is nice one second then breaking windows the next, should you be scared? Nice? This girl is just strange
Then Stuart came back to the window holding two burritos

"Here we are! One Diablo Maximus Breakfast Burrito with extra hot sauce for Kate and One meaty burrito for the newie" Stuart said as he handed them to kate
"Thanks dude" kate thanked

Kate looked at you before holding out the Meaty burrito for you
"Uh, uh, I shouldn't" you said, sweating a bit
"You should, on me, here take it" Kate urged as you hesitantly took it
"Thanks..?" You said

"Hey, come on let's sit down" kate said as she started walking to a bench as you followed her
Soon you both sat down

Kate started eating her burrito as you looked at her, how can she eat that!?
"Um how can you eat that!? It's the spicest thing ever!" You exclaimed at her as she looked up to you

"What? I just can, it's delicious" she said, you had a feeling that something's wrong with this girl
"What are you? Some kind of Alien?" You laughed since that Diablo Maximus burrito is impossible to eat

Kate jumped when you said that
"A-alien? Pfffttt s-shut up!" She nervously and obnoxiously laughed
You raised an eyebrow at her, why is she nervous? It's just an Joke, you shrugged before finally eating your burrito

While you were eating, kate glanced at you, she was surprised when you said that, she was lucky she didn't spill anything or her life will be over
She just has to be careful not to give anything away

"So kate, how long have you been in Arcadia?"

Kate grunted 'more like on earth' she thought
"12 years" she answered, casually as she was nearly done with her burrito

"And how old are you?" You asked

"17"

"So you came here when you were 5, nice" you commented as kate faked a nod and smile

"Actually I was 13" kate thought, she just finished her burrito as she scrunched up the wrapper and then she freaking trick-shot it into a bin that was 7 feet away!

You nearly choked on your burrito
"Nice shot" you said to her
"Huh? Oh thanks, just a little something" kate cleared her throat

"Sooo y/n, where are you from?" Kate asked back, placing her head on her hand
"Oh I'm from C/n" you told her

"Oh! C/n, that's a great place" kate commented
"Thanks" you smiled at her as you finished your burrito as well

You gotta admit, kate wasn't actually a bad person, you felt a little more comfortable around her now
"Right, sorry but I should probably get home or my bro will kill me" kate said as she stood up

"Oh, no problem! Wait don't you mean you're parents will kill you as well?" You asked, obviously of what's happening

Kate froze as she looked at you with a very fake smile, she was quiet for a few seconds
"Y-yeah...My P-parents...bye!" She exclaimed as she speed off

You raised an eyebrow again
"Still strange" you laughed as you stood up and decided to head home as well
